Somewhere recently (I thought it was on Daily Kos, but I can’t find it) someone counted up the number of times Trump has claimed a settlement is near. They found 39. That doesn’t count anything in the last day or two.

It reminds me of this scene in HBO’s Rome, when Vorenus is made evocati. They’re not at all shy about making it clear that their goal, as Romans, is to enslave the whole world.
