The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues (Part 2)

That’s just what woke people say. There’s only one right one. Your job: figure out which one it is. Your eternal reward depends on getting it right. Good luck!

First, I think that his knowledge of religion is minimal.

But beyond that, many conservative Christians (probably not Trump, but certainly many of his supporters) do not believe that Jews and Muslims worship the same God that Christians do, because the “Christian God” is the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), in which Jews and Muslims do not believe.

“Again, it’s bafflingly stupid that Donald Trump let a housing bill become law without signing it, ensuring he gets no credit for it,” said Nellis.

My Favorite Quote:

“Don’t think I’ve ever seen a weaker or more pathetic move.”

I’ve seen the word “necrocracy” coined recently to describe how we’re increasingly being governed by people who cling to power as their minds and bodies fall apart. We have a president whose health is failing and whose mind is gone, a senator who hasn’t been seen or heard from in a month and who may be braindead, congressmen disappearing for months at a time without explanation or running for reelection or leadership while literally dying of cancer, and so on.

It’s certainly apt.

I think he accidentally added a punctuation mark. He thinks he’s Allah.

Director of OPM*, I mean FBI, had to cancel his conjugal visit flight.

*Other People’s Money.

War on the press at 12 o’clock high! (The bolding is mine.)

For example, leaving boxes of classified documents in a bathroom open to foreign agents.

But, of course, the war on the press is peronal. (Everything with the convicted felon is.)

The convicted felon is definitely stuck in time.

If there’s no need for the cognitive test, it doesn’t matter if he requests it, let alone on three different occasions.

You know the ketchup is going to fly at the ruins of the formerly great White House over this news.

“Say it ain’t so!”, Kennedy Center edition. (The bolding is mine.)

Ah, yes, a reflecting pool disaster. Why not? One thing I learned from The Wizard of Oz is how detrimental water is to evil people.

The convicted felon is hallucinating buildings in Ankara.

Trump thinks he’s attractive. Let us all join hands and laugh our asses off.

If only we could laugh the ass out of the White House.

On Saturday, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) responded to Coulter and tried to justify Trump’s actions by arguing he’d outmaneuvered Senate Majority Leader John Thune and House Majority Leader Mike Johnson.

He “outmaneuvered” them by letting the bill they passed … become a law. How deranged do you have to be to actually make that argument?

After some googling, it appears that many Americans don’t think that.

LifeWay Research released a study showing that Americans overall are evenly split: 46 percent believe that Muslims and Christians worship the same God, while 47 percent disagree.

And just as a wild guess, Trump is firmly on the more ignorant side of that argument.

Besides, Trump knows who the One True God really is; the one he sees in the mirror.

It always sounds to me like they’re saying the equivalent of “Mexicans worship Dios!” to make the religion sound more different than it really is.

Yes, that’s pretty much exactly what they’re doing.

Especially considering that Arabic-speaking Christians also use the name “Allah” to refer to God in the Judeo-Christian Bible. It really is just the Arabic word for “God”.

Just wait until someone tells them who Arabic-speaking Christians pray to.

But… they’re Arabs!

Bloodsuckers are reflected in a mirror?

Huh.

As do Arabic-speaking Jews.

I refer to my Mother and my friend from Kerala refers to his Amma and they literally mean the same thing. And I refer to the person who gave birth to me as my mother and the person who gave birth to him as his mother. So we are each talking about one and the same person. Right?

Religious scholarship aside, people from religions that are semi-hostile to (or at least quite distinct from) one another who believe different things don’t meaningfully worship the same thing, even if they say they do when asked about it intellectually. Actually, they each worship their own cultural creation and are commonly quite hostile to - or at least disagree about - one another’s beliefs about what their particular deity is or believes.

“Yeah, Kumbaya we all worship the same deity. And by the way my god told me to kill you heathens and infidels, despite the fact my god (who is also yours, cough) told you precisely vice versa!”

There’s not much mileage in criticising Trump for recognising the RealPolitik of religion. It’s so fucked up even he can understand it.
