I see that the Idiot In Charge is now going to let a no-bid contract to build eleven gigantic ice breakers like the Finns have, and in collaboration with them. He’s doing this because Russia has more than we do. Seriously. Russia, of course, has some 15,000 miles of Arctic coast to try to access in some of the harshest climate in the world, whereas we have maybe 1,000 miles of same. He has apparently been obsessed with these ships since he first saw one some 30 years ago.
Some problems that Cheese-dick hasn’t considered in this multi-billion dollar boondoggle.
*We have no infrastructure for docking or for repairs for these behemoths, which will cost multiple billions of $$$$ more.
*We don’t have anywhere near the number of Coast Guard personnel needed to man these ships, nor the expertise to operate them. So that would mean using civilian labor with all the associated costs.
*We have no real reason to have them, other than some vague notion of valuable minerals to be mined in the Arctic.
I’m sure the response from the present congress will be an impotent shrug.

I think he meant Iran wouldn’t consider Minnesota to be a worthy target. But that is also a stupid assumption for him to make, thinking that Iran will only ever attack the US where it is strongest and most prepared. Maybe Minnesota had an unpatched zero-day vulnerability that other places don’t have. Or maybe Iran considers any part of the US to be a worthy target.

Concerning the plane picture: why is he showing a plane that has dropped all its bombs? What is it fleeing from with full throttle plus afterburners?
It’s got 2 jet engines, which he’s got some kind of senile obsession with. Something about how it’s better than just having one, no matter what the so-called engineers and experts may say

Donald desperate to distract from the obvious fact that Iran has a substantial cyberattack capacity, and a very strong reason to use it on any vulnerable American system.
Unfortunately for Donald’s option #1, there have been at least seven states hit by this cyberattack. It’s not just Minnesota.
And as for #2: Donald never takes responsibility for anything. So the cyberattack CANNOT have been committed by a nation Donald attacked out of the blue!!! Because that would mean Donald bears part of the blame!!!

An estimated 26,000 children who entered the U.S. without parents or guardians are expected to be left without independent legal representation as soon as Monday, according to lawyers who help represent them.
For more than two decades, the U.S. has been required by law to protect children who cross the border alone, because of fears that they could be easily exploited, abused or trafficked. After children cross the border unaccompanied, they are typically transferred to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). A network of nearly 100 legal groups helps provide children who arrive in ORR custody with legal services, funded by Congress.
But in November, ORR stopped paying for those legal services, after lawyers declined to provide the agency with confidential information it had requested about the children. The attorneys say that information is covered by attorney-client privilege.
“The government is withholding payment for work that has already been performed in order to extract confidential information about kids, information the government has no right to,” Acacia Center for Justice, the nonprofit that manages the legal services contract with ORR, said in a statement on Thursday.

“We know that without a lawyer, unaccompanied children win the right to stay in the United States less than 1% of the time,” said [Alexa] Sendukas [an attorney at the Galveston-Houston Immigrant Representation Project]. “And they’ve come to the United States seeking safety and protection. And what this administration is asking us to do now is to turn our backs on them completely. And they will undoubtedly be sent to harmful, dangerous situations. And I worry some will be killed if they lose their lawyers.”
