The felon in the oval didn’t think this one out very far. Remember the mnemonic HOMES? That’s to help one remember the names of the Great Lakes (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior). The FitO changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America gives us…Let’s see…

I thought that Canada has already agreed to rename it Lake Epstein.
I don’t really understand why all the Great Lakes would be called anything other than Lake America. Or why the Oceans to the East and West of the US would be called anything other than the American Ocean.
Unless of course they were all to be called Lake Trump (or Trump Ocean).
Actually my view is that every child in America should take Trump as their last name.

If he is too blind to see how little his own wife loves him, what hope is there for him to see that he is widely despised by the public? Obviously, some wilfull ignorance has to be involved, but all his sycophants grifting at his pleasure will certainly do their best to isolate him from reality.
I mean, even his own brain, such that it is, is trying very hard to isolate him from reality. It is hard for him to see beyond his psychological issues, so… he doesn’t.
I don’t think this could be true - he has enemies and he knows it. Hell, he obsesses over it.
I think he probably vastly overestimates how loved he is. And he has ways of mentally shielding himself from the knowledge that some people dislike him - by “othering” them through insults, dehumanisation etc. But he knows there are such people.
He has enemies and he knows it. He just thinks those enemies dislike him because they, not he, are stupid. It’s more of a (my apologies to Dr. Dunning) Dunning-Dunning effect.
He has way more “shields” than just alleging stupidity. He discounts people because they are:
- ugly (if women)
- failed, weak or losers (if men, politicians or businesspeople)
- got captured (he prefers military who don’t get captured)
- sick (if they point out something about him that makes him uncomfortable)
- illegitimate (“so-called”) if they have authority
and many more
Actually, he simply does not prefer the miltiary. He actively despises them.

You left out “low IQ individuals”… which he exclusively uses to refer to people of a certain skin tone.

It’s what passes for clever in his circles. He thinks the “This place is a dump, I need to fix it or it will collapse and kill everyone!” argument is a brilliant tactic that no one can possibly dispute, so he gets to do whatever he wants. See also, the East Wing, the Reflecting Pool, and that DC golf course he wants to own.
That no one other than his enablers actually believe him on any of this is irrelevant.
The man literally has no imagination. The US is going to end up like Marklar if this keeps up.
In other News, Canada has announced we’re re-naming Lake Michigan as Lake Not Ontario.
My own feeling is that somehow, Trump’s “renovations” will somehow discover a lot of structural problems, requiring the demolition of the Kennedy Center, for the safety of patrons. But a new performing arts center will be built, much better and safer than the Kennedy one, and it will be named after Trump.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with the Kennedy Center as it is today. But Trump’s ego cannot allow his name to be removed from the Kennedy Center, which it has been, so let’s just get rid of the insult using whatever excuse presents itself, and if no excuse does, then make one up. Build a new performing arts center that Trump can put his name on, and no Kennedy anywhere in sight.
Just my own guess at what might happen as a result of these “renovations.”
The court ordered removal of his name in May. The announcement that the Center would be closed for two years for renovations was in March.
So the theory that Trump’s minions voted to close it because The Great Strong Leader was having a kiddy’s tantrum over the public not attending since he toddled into office stacks up. But the timing rules out his tantrum being over him not being able to crayon his name on the building.
They should rename Palm Beach to New Canada and annex it as the 11th province.
