Is anybody even a teeny tiny little bit surprised by this? Of course they weren’t going to release anything that mentioned Trump, or any prominent Republicans or donors.
Am I sure that’s what’s in the blank pages? No, but I very much doubt there are legitimate national security reasons for the redactions. Releasing the documents, but oh, not all of them, and leaving out key parts of what they did release, is just another example of this administration thumbing their nose at the American people - and at the truth.

I don’t think we can pin this one on the founders. Congress has abrogated their responsibilities by allowing the president control over taxation and the purse. They often refuse to check his powers for the most part. The Supreme Court doesn’t always rule in Trump’s favor, but they did grant him a kingship, so they too have refused to check the Executive’s power. But the real kick in the teeth is that Americans put Trump in office.
Nobody can write a constitution immune to a majority of citizens and all three branches of the government throwing up their hands and declaring it doesn’t matter.
I was referring specifically to Article !! of the U.S. Constitution which grants the president unlimited power to forgive any federal crime. And yes, I blame the ‘founding fathers.’ It’s an absurd invitation to corruption, with no checks and balances with the other branches of government.
