I am pretty cynical about this aspect: thinning the herd by removing an anti-vaxer’s ability to pass on their genes, while also inflicting them with an incredibly painful swelling of the testicles seems somewhat like poetic justice.
I just watched a yewtube vid about Obama, and how he was actually a really funny bloke. He was handsome, had a lovely family, and from what I can ascertain, genuinely cared about the US and its place in the world.
I weep for the parody that the US is now.

Hardly at all I suspect. Even if we take Trumps assertion at face value (which we obviously shouldn’t) its really not that radical
- The US will defend Greenland should it become necessary (already have that under NATO)
- No US adversary will have a base in Greenland (wasn’t going to happen anyway)
- No US adversary will makes sensitive investments in Greenland (this appears new, but since “sensitive” and “adversary” are undefined its hard to determine whether this is a real change)
- We will be allowed to develop a large military presence in Greenland (We already have a base there and Denmark has previously said they are willing to discuss expanding it)
No mention at all of the US annexing the territory. No mention of transfer of mineral rights. So basically it looks like Trump claiming a huge victory by accepting Denmark’s starting terms.

President Donald Trump said Friday that his administration is planning to recommend that certain childhood immunizations be broken up into five separate shots, each with a “small amount of the vaccine.” These “20% doses” would each be given six months apart, he said.
“Instead of a child going in and having a tremendous amount of different vaccines pumped into a big proportion of the body … we’re going to recommend that they do five doses marked one, two, three, four, five and that they be given in six-month intervals, so that a small amount of the vaccine gets pumped into the body,” Trump said.
Such a plan would render vaccines ineffective and wouldn’t make them safer, said Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
It’s unclear which vaccines Trump was referring to at Friday’s news conference; he specifically mentioned only the polio vaccine, which he said has “been amazing.”

They are quite willing, even eager, to watch the children of others suffer. Since this would be due to their own actions, let it happen. It’s going to hppen whether we want it or not.

The issue being that this happens to their children who are innocent and have no choice. They anti-vaxxers need to be stopped.
Would I infect their children? No.
Would I withhold treatment from their children? No.
Would I offer condolences? No.
Would I point out this was due solely to their actions? At every opportunity.
Their child is no more innocent than a queer kid driven to suicide or a trans kid denied puberty blockers until it’s too late. The difference is they are in trouble due to their own parents’ actions, not some wanker deciding they know better what’s best for someone else’s child. Let them feel the pain. After a decade they have burned out any pity I had.
So now the “banned” reporters from Politico, CNN and MSNOW are denied access to the White House. Their security badges are taken. You know, the White House. What we pay for? What is rightfully ours?
And I get that. I would like to see those people suffer, but I draw the line at tIhe suffering of their kids. It’s protbably very controversial of me, but imho they should have their children taken from their custody for neglect.
No cites, but I recall an incident where an anti-vac couple’s kid got lock jaw and almost died. He suffered a lot of pain for an extended time in the hospital. Yet, they still refused to get him properly vaccinated when he, thankfully, recovered. The cruelty and obstinent ignorance is breath taking.

Plague is endemic in rodent populations in the southwest, but it’s easily treated with antibiotics these days. A few people get it every year but there’re only been 14 US deaths from it in this century.
