There is some logic here. Who needs expensive littoral combat ships when you can just ground a regular cruiser, or, hey, even an entire battle group, aircraft carrier and all, just off Havana as a permanent fixture?
It definitely sends a strong message. Very strong.

I must be tired. It took me a solid eight hours to get your joke.
Florsheims from the Donald make me tippy, Florsheims on my feet that aren’t my size.
Florsheims from the Donald look so asinine, Florsheims so the Donald feels sky high.
If I had my way and we took Cuba, It would make this world worse in every way.
If I had a boss that made me dance for him, I’d dance for him a jig and we’d all pay.
"New Mexico should immediately change its name to New America. We are not Mexico, we are the United States of America!. The name would add great value and prestige to the State!. Home values and incomes would rise, and you would be even prouder while saluting our beautiful American Flag! Maybe even the Crooked Elections, that New Mexico is known for, would become honest again!

Li’l Marco couldn’t live done the water drinking incident when he gave the Republicant response to a State of the Union address. That killed him in the 2016 primary establishing him as a lightweight. The giant shoe picture will doom him in future contests as an obsequious sniveling wart on Donny’s ass.
Just lock her in a car with the windows up.

Not having much fuel the IJN planned to do that with Yamato off the coast of Okinawa when the US began its invasion of that island. She didn’t make it that far.

Slip slidin’ away…
Cruella de Vile caught faking up a press release on counterfeit letterhead.
Noem has faced numerous scandals — from her handling of immigration that led to multiple citizen deaths to an alleged affair with a close advisor
Kristi Noem has been accused of putting out a fake press release about her leaving her latest role in Donald Trump ’s administration.
The Department of State announced last week that Noem’s time as special envoy to the president’s Shield of the Americas security initiative in the Western Hemisphere had come to an end, but that she would continue at the department as a senior adviser.
Noem quickly shared a release on October 16 with State Department letterhead that said her role at the Shield of the Americas was “always a six-month appointment.” The release, posted on X, also confirmed that she remained a senior advisor at the department.
But it is now being reported that the release was not actually authorized by department heads.
“This was not a press release put out by the State Department,” one person familiar with Noem’s work at the State Department told Politico’s Eric Bazail-Eimil. “Noem went rogue and created a fake letterhead to post on X.”

The felon loves the military he promised to poison them if they don’t vote the way he wants.
Nefarious conditions at Camp Lejeune date back roughly 75 years. Approximately 1 million Marines, their families and civilian employees at the Jacksonville, N.C., base drank and bathed in water heavily contaminated with toxic chemicals between Aug. 1, 1953, and Dec. 31, 1987. It
Trump’s push to bring Republicans to the polls before and on Nov. 3 is seemingly being tied to the health and financial welfare of thousands of victims negatively affected by toxic water at Camp Lejeune who still await progress on their government claims. The DOJ oversees the claims’ payout.
“If we don’t win, there’s no money,” Trump told conservative supporters Tuesday in Greenville, N.C. “If we do win, you’re getting it. It’s gonna be finally over with that nightmare that’s been going on for so many years. We will never abandon the heroes who served America.”[/quote]
But, of course, not paying the families and service members concerned would be breaking the law.
For more than a decade, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has provided disability compensation to service members and others potentially affected by being exposed, as part of the Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012.
Considering his $5,000 per person promise if the Republicans remain in control of both the House and the Senate, how can anyone who is the least bit fiscally conservative vote for an extra $1.3 TRILLION deficit?

And now for a double shot of The President’s Brain Is Missing.
Remember when he was still sane enough to DENY saying this?

Another death in ICE custody.
An immigrant detained at a sprawling detention center complex in Georgia died on Friday, local and federal officials confirmed, after the facility has already faced national scrutiny for its response to an ongoing hunger strike inside.
The death inside the D Ray James facility in Folkston, Georgia, comes as federal immigration officials and private contractors are allegedly threatening hunger strikers there with force-feeding, a detained hunger striker, his wife, attorneys and advocates all said this week. Detainees are refusing food to protest prolonged captivity and bad conditions.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE ) on Saturday confirmed the death inside the facility, which is adjacent to the Folkston ICE processing center. Together, both facilities make up a large detention complex. GEO Group, the private prison company that runs the facilities under contract for the federal government, referred all questions to ICE.
Folkston was named after Folks , just not those folks, if you get my drift.
Maybe the felon does deserve the Pulitzer. Check out this fiction.
Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough recently called out Donald Trump on his show over the President’s recent claim that he doesn’t engage in name-calling.
In a clip that is going viral on the social media platform X, Trump spoke to a reporter in Alaska, claiming he never mocks people by name. The President said, “Well, look, I have to make deals with people, so I don’t go around calling them names. I’m a deal maker; I’ve always been a very good deal maker. I became very rich because of deals, so I don’t go around, uh, mocking people, you know.”
Audi chiefs might consider discussing this with Hyundai’s chief.
PERRY, Georgia, Oct 24 (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that Audi plans to build a $4 billion assembly plant in Georgia that will produce 200,000 SUVs annually, as he seeks to convince Americans to back Republicans in the November 3 midterm elections.
Trump, who has pressured automakers to move production to the United States and has raised tariffs on autos, steel, aluminum and parts, made the announcement at a rally in Perry, near Macon in central Georgia, where Volkswagen’s premium subsidiary intends to build its first US assembly plant.
Last year, Trump’s tariffs dealt Audi a €1.2-billion-euro ($1.4-billion) blow as it imports all its vehicles for the US market from Europe or Mexico.
What was I thinking. Of course it’ll be okay. These folks are Germans, not Asians. And by Germans, I mean melanin-challenged, pale, honkies, white.
How is this not election interference? (The formatting is from the cited article.)
A refund from Amazon has come with an unexpected name attached: Donald Trump . Millions of customers receiving refunds tied to a major consumer settlement are finding the president mentioned in their settlement notices, ahead of midterms .
The checks stem from Amazon’s $2.5 billion settlement in 2025 over allegations that the company misled customers into enrolling in Prime and made it difficult to cancel recurring subscriptions. According to POLITICO , the accompanying notice identifies the agreement as a result of “President Trump’s Federal Trade Commission” three times. Amazon did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment.
Do you remember the Name Game? The felon is very bad at it.
Representative Ilhan Omar denounced the Department of Justice (DOJ) as “corrupt” on Friday while dismissing an ongoing federal immigration probe as partisan politics.
Omar, a Democrat running for reelection in Minnesota, criticized President Donald Trump and DOJ officials a day after he called for the lawmaker to resign from Congress in the wake of federal court filings identifying her as Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
“The pedophile protection party’s president is laundering right-wing conspiracy theories through the most corrupt DOJ in American history,” Omar wrote on X. “Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name: mine. So let’s make it crystal clear. My name has always been Ilhan Omar. Maybe you should focus on what your VP’s real name is.”
This one will make your hair stand on end.
President Donald Trump’s wispy combover refused to cooperate as he launched his latest outburst at a female reporter.
The 80-year-old president looked unusually disheveled as he spoke to reporters outside the White House on Friday, gusts of wind sent his thinning hair flying in every direction.
His trademark comb-over kept flying up off his forehead, while strands that had been swept back across his scalp crept forward, giving him the look of someone who had just rolled out of bed.
Meanwhile, Trump’s hair appeared especially wispy and white, having apparently shed the chocolate-colored tint that he had emerged with earlier this week after spending part of last weekend at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Is it wrong to say Beetlejuice sported a better head of hair?
Along with @Monty , who I thanked yonks ago, I also want to add a big thanks to @Smapti for his regular Bluesky tweety things. Thank you. As I’ve mentioned before, this is more a labor of loathing than anything else. The one thing connected to the convict in the Oval I’m looking forward to will forever be tarnished by two things. The first one is he will get to lie in state in the Capitol unless the people in charge when the time comes can manage to do the honorable thing and not honor the dishonorable. The second one is he is eligible to be buried in Arlington unless he commits one of a short list of crimes and is convicted.
@Monty , I thanked @Smapti recently, but you are the O.G.! I appreciate all you’ve done for us.

But of course the felon loved this fiction.
Donald Trump on Wednesday reposted a long-circulating fake quote falsely attributed to former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, claiming Kissinger called Trump the “only true leader” and praised him for making changes “for the good of the people.” The post was a screenshot from X of an account called “Grandpa’s Free Advice” with the handle “@GOP_is_Gutless .”
Of course they’ll shitweasel from commenting on how they’re enabling the felon with election interference. While it obviously won’t affect their sales I’ve been deriving perfectly sufficient satisfaction from finding alternate suppliers for online purchases for quite some time now.
aw no pics? I’ve seen similar before, but I also wanted to see how bad this one was. I imagined, in vain, the reporter laughing, pointing at him, then holding up a couple locks of hair to insure what the subject of mockery was.
