sari, he’ll be here late tomorrow evening. <3 I’m excited!
Up, fed and caffeinating. I need to fold the towels that I washed/dryed yesterday, then work on the craft for the heathen children before heading down to fill up the tank and buy some sandwich sliced bread that I forgot Friday and yesterday. I’m much more used to buying the bacon and tomatoes than the rest of a BLT.
Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and N.O.L. We’s both stuffded and both brought home leftovers for either later today or N.O.L. tomorrow. 'Tis beautiful out, warm but not hyooooooooomid. Maybe some quality cee-mint pond time later but first nappage shall commence.
It’s been a frustrating morning though.
My phone is acting up, the blue tooth won’t stay connected.
Then I went to order groceries, got all the way to the end of the process only to find out the store has a new website and the old one won’t let you complete the order. They could have told me that BEFORE I started. One of the nice things about the old site is that it keeps track of past orders, so going in to reorder is easy.
Not so with the new web site, I had to start over from scratch, couldn’t find some of the stuff I was looking for. The new design sucks. Then I get all the way to the end and it won’t accept my credit card. The same credit card I have always used. That was a problem with the credit card though, the expiration date on the card is wrong - so I need to call the credit union tomorrow and find out why.
My favorite cake is chocolate, either chocolate cake, chocolate icing, or both.
The bleach wash purtified the dishwasher, so yay! First load of laundry folded and stowed, second load in the dryer, third load is miscellaneous rags.
I pulled out the carpet shampooer because I think a certain canine has peed on the carpet a couple of times, but it dried before we got home. Idiot canine.
Gorgeous, non-humid day! The rest of the summer can stay just like that as far as I’m concerned!
No, and I don’t think that’s too likely. The Red Robin in the next town up the highway does have better fish and chips than any restaurant in our little town, but that’s not saying much. And their prices are kinda high. They supposedly have good burgers, but we can get a good burger without leaving town. I guess I’ll have to content myself with only having good fish and chips when we go to the coast. sigh
In other news, I’m thinking I’ll get the lawn mower out and decapitate the dandy lions in the yard today. I have appointments tomorrow, and Tuesday I get my other eye operated on, which will put me on the light duty list again for about 3 weeks. 'Sides, the weather guessers are predicting triple digit temps this week, and who knows what for august.
birdnapper welcome back and thanks for the bday wish.
Nappage has been achieved. I also talked with sis. I’ll be headed up to ye olde hometowne on Wednesday. A great niece is gettin’ married there next Sattidy. I shall hang out in ye olde hometowne for about a week. OYKW is goin’ to the wilds of West Alabammy for approximately the same amount of time. Last time he was there was Christmas so he feels the need to go see his mom and sibs. Plus there’s some kind of community bbq thingy next weekend that he says is always good. While I am at sis’s place (was mom’s place) we’re goin’ through a lot of stuff that needs goin’ through, so fun times ahead, NOT!
Hi Honey; we’re home!!! We had birthday cake Friday in your honor. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
We’ve been home a bit but resting up. Added another park to the trip on the way home partly because we needed some jars of salsa. And DelGrosso’s makes great salsa and owns an amusement park as well. We took it as a sign from God.
If Juan Valdez is responsible for caffeinating me, I bow to him.
Filled up the tank on the car on the way to Tar-jay for prescriptions and other items. Then I filled up the tank on the bike before going out for a ride. Gas cost just under $15 for both.
Fixed shrimpers and rice, fresh snap beans, Indian fried cabbage and Asian cucumber salad for supper. Kind of an international mash up.
Kitchen is clean, laudnry is done, litter box is scooped. I made slow cooker chili for dinner. It’s surprisingly [del]mild[/del]non-nuclear for having chipolte, Cayenne, Scotch Bonnet, and Ghost Pepper in it.
Juan Valdez is the Patron Saint of Coffee. Saint Arnold of Soissons is the Patron Saint of Beer.
My two favorite Saints.
