It’s hot and alternating between rain and sun today.
I woke too early, got up, got some stuff done, then took a nap.
The A/C man is supposed to come tomorrow.
Bumba - all squirrels are teh evil.
The cat has been hanging out in the squirrel closet. I haven’t moved his litter box up there yet. but since he likes hanging around up there I will do that today. I’ll keep a box downstairs for a while longer until he transitions.
Then if the puppy shows interest in the litter box I can put a baby gate across the bedroom door.
We’ll see, Mackie was never interested in the trash can or the litter box. I really got spoiled with him.
I’ll probably have to find a new spot to feed the cat too.
Congrats on the marathon Spidey!
Too cool - Doggio!
I’m glad Louie is okay Butters, and let’s hope Pepper continues to sleep all night - Sunny.
My floors need moppage too Swampy, since you already have the mop out an all.
Good luck with the home search Nuts.
The last time I used a flashlight was when the power went out. I found out that if you set a flashlight on it’s tail with the beam shining at the ceiling it will light up the whole room.
I forgot to comment on the flashlight question - I use one almost every night. I have to get up with the puppy or the kids and I use a flashlight so I don’t disturb my husband. I have one that lets me use red or blue light, so I use that to avoid blinding myself.
Waitin’ on OYKW to get here to start the tacos. Fixin’s are all prepped and cookin’ up the meat takes all of ten minutes at most. I’s hungry so we’ll definitely eat soon after he shows up. In other news JDD and Mr. Frank are still waitin’ on discharge papers promised four hours ago. The FUBAR transport can’t be arranged until he’s officially discharged so no tellin’ how long the wait will be for that.
**sari **- We started out feeding our cats on the half wall in the living room, but their dispenser now sits on a plastic set of drawers in the dining room. The drawers hold part of my yarn stash, and since the unit is plastic, it’s easy to keep clean. Further, since we don’t do dinner parties, it doesn’t bother us to have such a tacky piece in our dining room.
The litter box is at the top of the basement stairs and we put a cat door thru the basement door. We had to reduce the opening size just a bit to keep a certain pug from digging for tootsie rolls… ick.
Anyway, home, tahred, waiting for spousal unit to return. I had a really busy day - one drawing revision was much more involved than I’d expected - I’ll have to finish it tomorrow. And my most hated drawing from hell is coming back for Revision C - I did the original, and Rev A and Rev B. Not looking forward to having to fix it again - I wish they’d make up their minds and be done with it. If it goes to Rev D, it’ll be a major pain because we’ll have to add a page and move stuff around. Fingers crossed that this is it.
Waiting for my sweetie to get home. I’m guessing supper will be something like grilled cheese or cereal. I don’t cook till I find out if he wants to eat or not. So I wait. And wait… <sigh>
Unfortunately I don’t have any half walls, or wide window sills.
The other problem is Adam is not a very agile cat, he is horrible at jumping up on things. I think it’s because he has big fat ass. Seriously, he doesn’t do a loaf position, he does a wedge. His butt is a lot higher than his head.
He can’t even jump up on the kitchen table without jumping onto a chair first.
You’d think from his build there would be a lot of power in his backside.
He is the only cat I know who hangs out on the floor most of the time.
Tacos have been ingested. OLÈ! Mr. Frank finally got discharged and taken back to the nursin’ home. He should be back in his room and in his bed by now. Finally!
Well, lawn got mowed with one delay. Mower would not start (it would turn over but not catch), so I loaded it up in the car and took it to a shop. They found some doohickey had come loose and once it was put back into place, the thing worked just fine. So I got to mow the lawn in 87F heat…kinda wish they had found I had broken it…
Nut, hope the housing crisis is averted.
Butters, Glad Louie is fine, I imagine the traffic Wed and Thur will be…interesting, and yeah, repairs should come out of the other person’s budget…you break it, you buy.
swampy, glad to hear JDD’s dad got released.
Got a few drops of rain but despite the cloud cover, nothing serious. If we don’t have rain by Wednesday, I’ll water the yard for the first time this year.
Some more on the race: I guess it’s nice that they had cheerleaders who remained on their station for the entire race but I’d pay a few $ more in entry fees if they got better looking ones next year. I mean the ones they had were kinda, ummm, short & stumpy & not exactly the prettiest. :o
Congrats on getting back into the swing of things spidey!
butters, I hear you on the coffee. I bought new irk mugs (have to be clear to go through security). The old ones were 16 oz and the new 12. I had a headache for the first week.
Yay Louie! <3
Cool drawing doggio!
To answer the OP, like swampy, there’s a flashlight in every room of my place. I keep a boating lantern in the studio to find itty bitty items that I drop, a camping lantern under the kitchen sink, boating lanterns in the laundry room and bedroom, a mini mag light under the bathroom sink, in my purse and in the car. I just got out the headlamp leftover from my camping days to use when I take Nelson out. The motion sensor on my end of the building is timed for a 20 year old track star (I know, hard to believe, but that isn’t me ) and we’re tucked back under the trees.
Knoebels flooded today. But our plans for Thurs-Sat could still be fine. They have flooded more often than I’ve insulted Flytrap so they know how to do it well.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 86 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse beginnin’ later this mornin’ and throughout the day. We shall see. This mornin’ I shall go to the liberry, and take care of some errands. Rah. I suppose I shall also do at least a couple loads of laundry. OYKW wants to go to the pretty good local country [del]hog trough[/del] buffet for dindin so we shall. He’s buyin’ so I’m eatin’.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Purtification must also commence at some point as I am to go about the public.
I usta have an original **doggio **cartoon but for the life of me, I don’t know what happened to it, dammit. I bet it’s doubled in value!!!
The heat wave is over, at least for now. They’re talking mid-80s today, so yay! Not that it affects me much since I’m indoors most of the day, and the a/c in the car cools that space pretty fast. Still, yay!
