Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. I’m taking the Volvo in for service in a bit. It looks to be a rainy day today.

'Tis 75 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 95 and mostly N.O.S. with a chance of a stray afternoon tstorm as usual. No big plans for the day. I may go to the liberry and mayhaps shall have some quality time at the cee-mint pond this afternoon. I do need to run the cleaner so I shall go out and start it up in a bit. Burgers and fries for dindin just cause I took some frozen burgers outta da freezer last night and have some N.O.T. I need to use up.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify and see what the day brings.

Afternoon all.
Been wandering round town looking at cheapo second hand furniture. I need a new stand for the axolotl tank, a table, and probably a smaller bookcase (ceilings are low and slopey in the hopeful flat, and my bookcase is really tall). Trying not to get carried away buying stuff.
The eejit checking people emailed me back; yes it was just the date they were unhappy about. Why they couldn’t just tell me that in the first place, rather than sending me some nonsense about bank statements, I don’t know.
Nut, the tale of government bureaucrazy is somewhat true; but in my experience it is no worse than large private companies. Have fun with the furniture shopping.
Woke up to it raining, and it is still precipitating merrily, without occasional tunder-boomers echoing about the area. I was going to have to water my lawn today, so I’m happy Mother Nature is saving me the effort.
Probably do my laundry later today. Such an exciting life I lead…
blurf Got to irk late as I was dreaming a bunch of nonsense and could not awaken. But I am here and it is Firday finally. Tis been a long week.
I have to go see HR about my new hire and regular Firday stuff.

It looks to be a rainy day. I don’t have to go out so it doesn’t matter.
I had a rough night and almost overslept this morning. I should have just stayed up when I woke too early instead of going back to sleep.
It’s been cloudy all morning, but nary a drop of precip yet. According to the forecast, we could be looking at half an inch today and over 2.5" overnight, plus more tomorrow. We shall see.
Meanwhile, my kitchen is cleaner than it’s been in ages, but I’m not too impressed with the floor - I should go over it with clear water, but I just don’t wanna. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not. In a little bit, I’ll run the vacuum thru the main living areas, then declare work done.
Supper will be ribs and Amish corn and dunno what else. I also have 2 'lopes to cut up. Later. I sit at a desk all day - this manual labor is a bit much!
Today we start back from CA to Orygun. We’re stopping in the middle this time. Having coffee, then I shall load the car and we shall commence. My excitement is palpable.
I went on a beer run and stopped by the local produce stand and got some corn and ‘maters. Corn shall be added to the menu tonight as it looked good so was kind of an impulse buy bein’ as I was goin’ for the ‘maters. I am told I will be feted around the cee-mint pond tomorrow. I’d just as soon not, but, festivities, includin’ a menu of bbq poke etc have been planned so I suppose it must happen. Oh well, the cee-mint pond is clean and the salt level is good so there’s that.

Nuts here’s hopin’ you find all your furniture needs. I’m supposed to like shoppin’ for furniture and household stuff but I don’t. This and the fact that I am not a fan at all of show tunes are the two gay things on which I am very slack.
My AI algorithm just identified something I had never even remotely considered. I’m officially experiencing an “Eureka!” moment while being freaked out.

Took a nap, walked godie again. I made a pizza style grilled cheese for lunch. Waiting to hear if the car is ready.

It’s a been a stormy day and evening. I ducked out between showers to grocery shop and pick up a burger. The wind took one of the green cherry tomatoes off. I set it on the patio table in hopes that it will ripen.
When I tried to check my glucose at lunch, I got an error message. I figured that the strip (the last one in the kit) was bad so I injected the minium units for lunch. When I tried to check this evening, it weirded out three times, so, again, minium units. I’ll swing through Kroger tomorrow for a new one.
She’s fixed. And between the thunderstorms, non working traffic lights, and idiot drivers, I only had 8 heart attacks on the way from the shop.:eek:
