I’m waitin’ on go home time which cannot get here soon enough. Tonight is men’s night over to the church house so I have that to look forward to, but I already said that, did I not.
Also pretty much all the happy, happy, joy, joy holiday stuff will be over by end of next week. I’ll be glad for that as well. Ho, Ho, Freakin’ Ho!
Ok, back to irkstuff. Sigh.
ETA: Hope the gallbladder is feelin’ better today BBBobbio.
Darned 5-minute edit window.
Darned getting upset over trivial things.
Darned things that are going to haunt me for the hours (days? weeks? months?) to come.
Darned finger with a chunk taken out of it.
I now need new oil pan gasket and a new boot on my steering column. I’ll be getting that next week along with an oil change. :smack: You find all kinds of things when your car goes up on a lift.
Welp, there goes Christmas presents for the niece and nephews. I did get to sit down and have a good long chat with Former Night Audit Lady (who needs a new name). Made the time go quicker.
I fell back asleep and then overslept.
I drove my mother to the doctor and because I had overslept I decided to wait in the car for her since I was kind of a mess. It was less than 10 minutes from feet hitting the floor to feet out the door.
I don’t want to get old. I mean I’ve already crested the hill and am headed down the slope but damn if I want to be.
So sorry. As a 12-day post-op removal of the blasted thing, all I can say is I hope you can have yours out soon, too. Found out I have 4 coworkers who also have had theirs removed, and all agree it’s a good idea. I only had one episode of pain, and from what I understand, it may have been comparatively mild to what others suffer regularly. Boo. Please feel better.
The only thing stopping surgery is that no stones were found the first time, and I didn’t go to the ER last night. The local GI guy won’t do surgery unless there’s stones or other signs of disease. Trust me, if they said I needed surgery, I’ll do my IV setup myself.

Is it the flat screen G-5? They have a manufacturing flaw that fries the motherboard. I had one mb replaced, that went south too. I had to replace the whole thing after that. They can tranfer the data to a new machine, or you can have the hard drive taken out and firewired to use as an external.

No, it’s the first-gen Intel version.
I’d already taken the drive out and copied its contents to a new Mac. This was supposed to be a dedicated machine for DH’s embroidery work. Looks like he’ll continue to use a dodgy Windows laptop unless Santa pops up with the $1500 or so it costs to buy the new Mac version of the embroidery software. (The old Mac was running Windows as well as OS X.)
BBBobbio - been there done that with the gall bladder, altho mine was full of stones, as was my sweetie’s. It was so nice to have it gone!
Happy Monday! I’m fried - I’ll be glad when this week is over because I’ll have a week off, sorta. Driving 800+ miles to spend a few days with the inlaws isn’t a lot of a break, but I won’t have to wake up at 5, so there’s that.
My big wait is for August 25 when my mom and I board the plane for London and our cruise. Interim waits are: Getting home from FL on Dec 27, the end of this temp job the first week of March (altho it may continue as a temp/part time gig) and spring.
**sari **- getting old is kinda sucky, but for now, it beats the alternative.
**Taters **- you gonna go work with Nava?? If you don’t mind saying, where in Spain is the job?
Apparently Higgs brought an offering up on the deck - a dead squirrel. We’re pretty sure she didn’t make it dead, but that doesn’t make it any less gross… ick.
