The Walking Dead; 3.07 "When the Dead Come a Knocking" (open spoilers)

That is amusing when posting in one of your fantasy threads, but it is annoying when I am discussing something with adults.

I was rewatching tonight and had a thought about the scene with Maggie and the Governor.

What if, when the Governor ordered her to take off her shirt and her bra, she did it without hesitation and just stood there, calmly, as if she wasn’t afraid.

Was that a situation where playing tough girl would have disarmed him? Or would it just be presenting a greater challenge? Would he have been more or less likely to take it farther? Could she have played it like, “Look, asshole, I’m a survivor. You don’t scare me.”

I don’t see that reaction as being out of character for Maggie, after all she’s been through. On the other hand, things were looking up for Rick’s people, she’s in love, and then suddenly being threatened by a non-Walker, a normal human being – that was just too much.

What do you think?

Then he probably would just have moved to Plan B a couple minutes faster. He didn’t want to rape her (at least not then), he was seeing if the threat of rape would get the information he wanted.

When it didn’t, he moved on to the next plan of putting them in the a room together and threatening to kill one so the other would talk.

If she’d just said “fine, have at me” then it would still be on to Plan B.
