The Walking Dead; 3.07 "When the Dead Come a Knocking" (open spoilers)

They know about the farm from Andrea, they know they are not there anymore.

Proposed title for 3-08…
“Glenn goes Postal”
Glenn harnesses his Dark Side powers and goes on a rampage, slaughtering Merle and .Gov

… with a special appearance of T-Dog’s ghost spurring him on

On The Talking Dead, they showed how they are now using a different shade of makeup on the zombies to show further general decomposition.

Glen and Maggie don’t know that Andrea is there.

I really want Glenn to be the one to take out Merle, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Darryl will be the one that kills Merle (while saving Carol or something like that).

Well, this IS the zompocalypse after all, why can’t they both do it, Daryl kills Merle, he reanimates, and Glenn spikes Walker!Merle (or vice versa)

They could have attempted to feed thier interrogators disinformation, rather than saying nothing. Glenn did a bit of this, by rattling of a list of people in their crew (who were dead or missing) so as to exaggerate thier numbers. One problem with trying to concoct a false story is that there would almost certainly be contradictions between Glenn’s story and Maggie’s, which might result in even harsher treatment from Merle and The Governor. Then again, Maggie seemed to be able to hear what was being done in the room with Glenn and Merle, so if Glenn concocted a claim that their camp was at the farm, she might have been able to go along with it. But, Glenn didn’t know she could hear him, so he had no particular incentive to lie any more than he already had.

There’s too much that needs to be resolved with The Governor to kill him off in the next episode: his daughter, his previous life, his relationship with Andrea, and so on. Merle is more expendable if they want to end the half-season with the death of an antagonist…but who would get the honors? Glenn, whom he beat and tried to kill? Daryl, the little brother who’s rejected Merle’s way of life? Michonne, whom Merle hunted and shot?

Interesting. That would suggest that a time will come when the bulk of the zombies are falling apart, and no longer a real threat. That does change the survival strategies in a major way, if you can make it another year or two and then potentially be free of the zombie threat.

If I was in the zombie apocalypse I’d want all floppy bits kept as constrained and close to the body as possible.
Frankly, if I were in the show and forced to travel overland I’d be wearing zombie guts at all times and heavy leather clothing (or body armor) over as much of me as possible without dramatically reducing mobility.

Based on Glenn’s lesson I might go around with chair legs duck taped to my forearms.

I predict that Glenn will have a chance to kill the Governor and will hesitate because he’s beaten him already and his character is not so cold blooded, and then Maggie will end up killing the Governor.

I think Merle will die by Daryl’s hand/bow, however only after he hesitates and then does so to defend another member of the group that Merle is about to kill.

We’ll see if both these predictions come true by the end of the season.

Nope, Daryl would be sure to kill Merle in a way that prevents reanimation.

There will always be new zombies though, remember everyone who dies with an intact brain reanimates like in a George Romero film.

Heck, I can picture somebody killing the Gov but not administering the mercy-brainstab, just leaving his animated corpse to moan and decay in a cage somewhere.
“You live with it, bastard. Well, not live per se, but you know what I mean.”

Yes, in an aquarium on his office.

There’d always be the potential for new zombies. But among survivors traditions of making sure the dead don’t reanimate would quickly take hold. So a zombie would likely only happen for those who died in isolation and there wouldn’t be a enough people left to produce the zombie hordes that are the real risk.

If eventually the 5.5 billion zombies currently wandering the earth decay to immobility, in just a couple years after that actually getting killed by a zombie will likely be viewed as practically Darwin Award worthy.

Maybe I’m the only one, but every time that I hear or read Governor, my mind wants it to be spoken with a Cockney accent, as in 8 seconds into this youtube video.

Were the heads still alive? Did I miss that?

IIRC, they were still alive. I seem to remember specifically the helo pilot’s jaw was moving.

Or Maggie could carry it around on a stick.
Flash it every once and a while.

I think they set something up with the Gov questioning Meryl’s loyalty. So I predict there will be a showdown with Daryl, Meryl turns on the governor, and Meryl dies. Not necessarily in that order but my prediction is that those three things will happen.

Ah, the Gov waxes Meryl, and Darryl whacks the Gov.
Cool.

I still don’t think it will end like that next week.
We’ll have a cliff hanger with Darryl deciding to side with Rick or Meryl.
