Thanks, MacTech.
Oh, and another thing, butt-stroking with an M4 is a stupid thing to do, the collapsible stock is easily broken, and the buffer tube can get bent easily (the actress even admitted she bent the gun in the but stroking scene (probably a prop gun)
During said scene, my first reaction was “way to wreck your only rifle, moron…”
Guns that would have worked as a blunt force bludgeon…
AK-47
M1 Garand
M1a
Mosin Nagant
Springfield 1903
SMLE Enfield
Mauser K98
Basically any military surplus battle rifle, not a modern M4
The M4/AR are nice guns, but a bludgeon they are not
Beth allowing that walker to almost bite her was pretty stupid. How did she not hear him all “Ahhhhhhhh” and shambling through the silent forest right next to her?
Carol suddenly showing up to save the day was kinda…convenient. I do like the fact that she’s lying to Tyreese though about how she came to be where she was…if Tyreese knew the truth, he’d kill her.
How did lesbian girl know Glenn’s name when she was trying to wake him up after he passed out? She was part of the invading force and had never met him before and I didn’t hear him tell her his name.
And Sergeant Ford…interesting. Hopefully not another Governor type and maybe just a militaristic, gruff survivalist. Maybe he’s the leader of that sanctuary or whatever Tyreese and Carol and the two girls are headed towards?
Speaking of…why did Carol and Tyreese just leave that poor, bitten Larry Bird looking guy that told them of the existence of the town? Why not put him out of his misery instead of just walking away and leaving him to turn?
That would have been my vote on this one. Stupidity, nonsense, illogical shit throughout. Pointless head fakery. The kid’s shoe? The walkers that get the jump on you? Glen trying to red rover through a horde - and making it? Carol ex machina? Bunnies? Shooting a scene with fresh chainsaw cut tree stumps in the background? Stupidity at every turn.
Watching the encore presentation, and every time LPITA starts her caterwauling, Cooper looks up at the TV, with an irritated/scared look on his face, he also hates brats
In fact, at the apex of her squalling, he jumped off the bed and ran from the room, smart dog he is…
The noise of the walkers approaching, attacking, or feeding doesn’t faze him, yet a screaming brat drives him from the room…
…definitely a smart dog
Yeah, shooting that as a night scene made her character look stupid. After she stalks off it cuts to a day scene of them so I’m gonna say it was just before sunrise when you see them sitting by the little fire.
Or it was an homage to the bad Day-For-Night continuity of the old “B” movies and Ed Wood cinematic abominations
I turned to my husband and said the same thing – something like, “OMG, she’s taking a page out of the MASH notebook…”
And then I was praying she wouldn’t be THAT sociopathic.
The rabbits, however…I didn’t know about them until my husband told me. Mind you, I’ve just started getting into this whole story, so I didn’t know.
Lesbian girls sister dying off screen seemed a bit odd, she was one of the main characters of the first part of the season.
Okay so how did Glenn get from the Bus to back on the wall in the prison? That seems like a cheat. When they first showed him and were pulling back I thought he was left on an overpass and the Woodbury people took off without him but no he was in the prison. I felt like Annie Wilkes, “That’s not fair! He didn’t get out of the Cockadoodie Car!”
As far as Terminus. I am assuming it is a reference to Foundation. IIRC, Terminus was a planet that held all the knowledge of civilization after it fell. I am guessing it was named by a sci fi geek whom we will meet.
He said he got off the bus and went to help.
I totally called Carol ending up with the Tyreese group, though I can’t be too proud. That was as obvious as Lizzie being a bunny stabbing psycho. They have to wring as much drama out of Carol covering for her as possible. But what will happen? Will Lizzie kill Tyreese to protect Carol?
The map for the safe zone by the train tracks was some Left 4 Dead shit.
These people are deaf and blind, getting surprised by zombies in broad daylight, in the open. Fail.
Did anyone else think Glenn would have to jump the gap in the broken bridge?
I liked Maggie’s cry/laugh of relief.
Was it just me (and it probably was) or did Maggie’s accent get way thicker in this episode?
Possibly, but “terminus” is the term for the end point of a transportation system, so if it’s a sanctuary located at the terminus of the area’s rail lines (as the map seemed to indicate), no sci-fi geekdom is needed to come up with that name.
No, I noticed it too. It’s been all over the place for as long as she’s been on the show. Just happened to be thick last night. God forbid they cast some actual Southerners.
On Talking someone said that Terminus was the original name for Atlanta.
Nor I.
I didn’t know that. That would make more sense.
True, Terminus was the original name for the settlement that would eventually become Atlanta, although it went through a few other names in between.
Not sure the map showed Atlanta though, I need to go back into Tivo and freeze frame it, but on the map it looked to far south and west to be Atlanta. A sanctuary in a huge metro area with millions of potential zombies doesn’t seem to make sense. If there is going to be anywhere safe, it would seem the more remote locations would make more sense.
Brats in Survival based shows are bad enough, but in an environment where minimizing your sound signature is a matter of life and death, it’s sheer idiocy to bring along an infant that cannot be silenced and who could broadcast your position at any moment…
It’s bad enough that most of the characters seem no smarter, indeed some seem DUMBER than the ambulatory corpses they’re trying to avoid, but to compound the idiocy by bringing along a shrieking zombie calling lure with them? It’s like they’re not even TRYING to think strategically here
At the current moment, LPITA is nothing more than a liability, she only consumes limited resources, and brings nothing to the group in terms of usefulness, in fact, given her ability to call in zombies, she’s a liability…
So there is a “safe” community within easy walking distance of the prison and no one knew about it, and they had to fight to the death over the Goddamned prison because there was absolutely no other place to go? Gah.
Maggie’s accent sounds like me (a Western Canadian) doing a Southern accent; in other words, I’d like to think a trained actor could do better.
