The Walking Dead; 4.14 "

At least we got rid of the rug rats.
Sorry I was wrong about Carol.

I feel oddly unaffected - I’m vaguely impressed that an American TV series featured a scene (albeit with convenient cutaways) in which a child is executed, that she was going to be executed seemed pretty foregone. I don’t think I would have found the decision all that difficult. “Yep, gonna have to put her down…”

It’s probably best I never had children.

Part of me actually thought that Carol was just going to leave Lizzie there. She could play with them to her heart’s content.

Nope, more folks who have children should have your opinions.
=)

How could she feed and play with walkers and never get bitten, while Carl (who understands what walkers can do) can barely walk 50 feet without nearly falling into a pile of walker-jaws?

Pubescent estrogen vs testosterone?

Carl’s too cocky.

Not ALL the rugbrats though, LPITA is still shrieking away and calling in zombies at the most inopportune times…

When?

I wouldn’t have expected the gas for the stove to still be on.

To me, it seems like it was an electric starter. That confused me too.

We have a gas stove (propane) that starts without electricity. We cook on it during our rare power outages.

I don’t know about the other characters (cuz I haven’t been watching), but it looks like Carol’s been wearing those clothes for weeks. If they don’t wash their clothes, what’s keeping them from getting lice? Do you have to be around people with lice in order to get lice? In fiction, people who don’t stay clean end up with lice. Is that just in fiction?

My gas stove can be used without electricity, but we have to turn the gas on and use a match. That one she just turned the knob and it lit. Isn’t that an electric starter or do some gas stoves just light by turning the knob without electricity?

Bottled propane with a gas pilot light.

Ninjaed!
Yes, have you folks never seen a pilot light?
A tiny gas burner, one for each burner and the oven and broiler.

I thought it was made very clear that they had chosen a new pope.
mmm

Sadly, this is my first gas stove (which I love). No pilot light.

That makes sense though!

Pilot light probably would have drained the tank - and you wouldn’t want to waste gas on it anyway when there isn’t any way to get more.

I fanwanked it by assuming a piezo-electric lighter, like a lot of outdoor grills have. Don’t know if any indoor stoves have them, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Piezoelectric ignition maybe?

We have a gas grill with a piezoelectric starter, no external power needed to create a spark

You win the thread, Sir.
I bow in acknowledgement.
