The Walking Dead; 6.06 "Always Accountable" (open spoilers)

I totally missed something in the storyline…

Where the hell did that truck come from at the end? There just happened to be a truck hidden in the brush that Daryl just happened to be able to use once his bike was stolen? Deus ex truck machina?

That was the “Patty” that the terrible trio went back for. I wasn’t entirely clear on how Daryl went from seeing a motorcycle-helmeted crispy guy to some sort of sign under the dirt to the truck hidden in the brush, but I might have missed something while rolling my eyes at this episode.

I think the trio had broken away from their group and taken a gasoline truck which they’d used to spray gas over a large area which explains the large numbers of torched walkers…

I wasn’t really paying attention, I admit. The sudden introduction of new characters and their vaguely-described hard-luck background struck me as more time-wasting on the part of the writers.

As I understand it, there were two A.A. Pattrick Fuel Co. trucks mentioned. The first was used by blond guy to create trail of fuel (gasoline?) which he lit on fire. Probably to create a distraction for their escape.

The group of three were on their way to pick up the 2nd truck (Patty002?) at the fuel depot. That truck was missing which led to their making up a new plan to get away from the group that was searching for them. They took Daryl’s bike instead.

Daryl eventually found Patty002 hidden in the brush. Why was it in the brush? I have no idea. I assume someone (the walker with the motorcycle helmet?) hid it there after the forest fire burned out.

Yes, but that doesn’t mean there were plenty of shovels in that particular place, which was a cabin in the woods.

Daryl: You did all this? (The burn-off)

Female survivor: It was right at the start.

Whooooooosh!

I’m aware that the post I responded to was smart arsey, so was my response. Who would you say really got whooshed here?

You.

Bryan Ekers was clearly mocking the idea that there would be easy access to an arbitrary number of shovels at a cabin in the woods.

It was, was it? You might want to work on the smart arsey a bit. Just sayin’!

It is my standard practice to respond to smart arse questions with mock serious responses. I admit that this might not be readily apparent on an internet forum. Anyway, this is my final comment on the matter.

ETA: …except to note that my comment used the phrase “a cabin in the woods” which referred to the movie and should have been a pretty big hint that I wasn’t being literal.

I’ll spoiler post the following since it is from this week’s episode.

Rumor is that Glenn will be shown alive this week, though perhaps badly injured. Either way, it is rumored we learn his fate this week.

Your dead relatives wouldn’t become “walker snacks”. Walkers are like frogs, if it ain’t moving, they ain’t interested.

I watched the recording of the Talking Dead. The host referred to Schrodinger’s Glenn, damn his eyes.
I didn’t even get a quote, far less a royalty.

Which brings up the question, is that guy among us, or does he just read our posts?

He should read our posts, because we’re good entertainment.

I gotta go get my snacks ready for tonight’s episode.
