I thought that salmonella just lived on/in most turtles, not that it developed after death. I was always told to wash my hands after handling a live turtle due to salmonella risk. CDC backs me up.

That was such a dick move by Rick, what does he care if some people gather for a prayer meeting?
Perhaps he believes that Gabriel would use it as a bully pulpit to disparage Rick and his followers again.
The point of it was that we then see the knife lessons by the solar panels (presumably at the time the prayer would have happened) instead of praying. God helps those who help themselves or God is dead, depending on your point of view. Either way, Rick thinks prayer is a waste of time when not everyone in Alexandria even knows the basics of staying alive outside the walls.

If the main stars get paid too much and have a limited number of paid episodes every season from now on, the show should do a better job in creating new characters that I care about.
Enid, Deana, Rick’s love, Carl’s rival, the Black Guy With the Glasses, the new doctor- they just ain’t cutting it for me, and I want to see them consumed, which is a horror movie trope. I thought TWD was a little more sophisticated than horror flicks where we root for characters to die.
Then we have characters like Aaron and Gabriel who get pushed early and sent into the background, while Morgan (overrated) gets a full episode.
I assume Christian Serratos gets paid well from her Twilight work, so why does she just have cameos in the episodes she is in?
I’m predicting the captured Wolf is somehow instrumental in saving them from the horde. That speech by Morgan about unknown consequences of letting someone live and people changing wasn’t just filler.

If so, it better not be preachy. Maybe the Wolf leads the horde away because he’s running in terror from Carol after she cuts off a few of his fingers.

We used to be able to buy little turtles in the dime store. Then it was discovered they spread salmonella. And probably died off in the wild because of pesticides and McMansions thrown up all over the countryside. Last turtle I saw in a pet store was some ridiculous price, and hardly big enough to make into a sandwich.
How I would handle the current situation. Okay, Daryl, Sasha and Abraham are belting back toward Alexandria in a full fuel tanker and they have a rocket launcher. They get on the walkie to Rick or Carol or Glenn and find out the situation. Park tanker a little ways down the road from the breached wall. Put something heavy on the horn button and bail out a ways. Wait until zombies flock the truck then light that fucker up with the rocket launcher. Boom goes the bodyparts. Then clean up.
This makes too much sense so someone will probably fuck up and send the rocket into the gun storage locker, blowing up all the ammo. :smack:

I can’t believe that Glenn survived despite of tons of walkers around him and how Enid went outside in Alexandria when it is girded by walkers.
Alexandria wasn’t yet surrounded when Enid left post Wolves-attack. Hence her desperation when her and Glenn returned and saw the horde at the walls.
