The Walking Dead; 6.16 "Last Day on Earth" (open spoilers)

Hilltop. They have a doctor.

To Hilltop to see their doctor.

I’m going to be bet on what’s-his-name (the gay guy) as the one who gets beaten to death. The writers don’t seem to know what to do with his character anymore, and he was so insistent on going on the mission even though Rick tried his best to get him to stay and help protect Alexandria.

Whatever happened to his boyfriend anyways? they haven’t mentioned him dying, but he completely disappeared from the show.

That was the same guy. When the Saviors were first beating him, they mentioned that he was from a group living at the library. That group must have tried to rebel. They said they hung another guy (the one we later see Morgan cut down) as a reminder of who was in charge and apparently the library folks didn’t get back in line. Maybe they scattered and were killed and this guy was the last one they caught. Obviously, no one was still around when Carol and Morgan got there.

It isn’t just fans, many articles today with words such as “disaster”, “ruined”, “needs to change” and “unnecessary”.

I’ve been wondering that, myself.

That guy is definitely checked out!

Any other GTAV players shout out “Hey, it’s Trevor!” when they saw and heard the other Savior leader talking? I just replayed GTAV, so it’s fresh in my mind. Funny how they modeled Trevor after the actor physically, as well.

I already mentioned in another thread that I hated the cliffhanger. There is a time and place to do it and this wasn’t it. There’s no ultimate payoff and it feels like a cheap “Tune in next time!”
Death speculation ahead and comic spoilers too:

That said, I think its going to be Daryl or, slightly less likely, maybe Glenn. Glenn because he’s the one that bites it in the comic. But Daryl because I heard Norman Reedus is getting his own show. Also, during Talking Dead, Chris Hardwick prefaces a question to Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) by saying “It seems like when you show up another cast member has to die” and then Norman Reedus pokes Morgan in the ribs with his elbow, like he knows. That pretty much convinced me its Daryl

You completely misheard that - the line was “Look at that! Taking it like a champ.”

The comics are clearly not canon and there’s a lot of divergence, I don’t know why you would think that anything from them constitutes a spoiler at this point.

Yup! He was on Better Call Saul last season too.

Could somebody please refresh my memory: does the group still have the grenade launcher(s) that Daryl used the first time they encountered the Saviors? Did they make it back to Alexandria with them?

Well, Negan’s group is definitely The Others!

Yeah, I watched it again afterwards and I missed the line about feeding Carl’s eye to Rick if Carl moves, so it’s definitely not Carl or Rick (dammit.)

I that that was from a horse shoe.

The comics clearly are close enough to canon that common courtesy is appropriate.

Can we give Rick and Abe some props for being able to carry Maggie in a stretcher for as long as they did without stopping for rest? That’s insane.

John Mace, I really don’t think I’ve spoiled much, if anything. Surely you realized that these 2-3 groups of people aren’t the only ones left in the area, right? They will encounter more and more people as they go. And for the record, I’ve never read the comic.

Yog, not only does Hilltop have a doctor, but if you recall the conversation when they met him, he’s an OB/GYN.

ETA: Grsz, the thread title says “open spoilers.” and what did I spoil, anyway?

That audio is very interesting, taken a face value it seems to establish exactly who got thumped by Lucile. Thanks for sharing that!

Negan is Rick’s father
Michione is really a dude.
Glenn has been a ghost the whole time (that’s why no one seems to be able to see him)
Daryl is Rick’s imaginary friend
Eugene is the real Negan
The entire region where the show takes place is in a protected State Park just off the highway (the rest of the world is normal)
They’ve been on Earth the entire time

It’s still muddy/ambiguous enough that you could argue those sounds aren’t what that guy is interpreting them as, but it’s probably a good bet. Kinda funny though after the Dumpster Debacle, since they went to so much trouble to make him seem unkillable.
