So Tara and Heath have been scavenging for two weeks, and the big concern is that if they don’t turn around soon they won’t have enough gas to get home. So I am thinking they are a minimum of 50 miles from home, and more likely 100 miles or more. And Tara just walks home? The plan was for all three of them to just walk to her camp? With no packs, no water, no supplies? Huh? Of course, that could have been the tip-off that they just intended to kill her. Except that after she escaped she still just walked home, and apparently got there in a few hours.
Likewise, apparently Hilltop is close enough that a couple of teenagers can just saunter over there in an afternoon. But in the past, we have seen it take a long time by car. And any distance that can be walked in an afternoon is close enough that they should have known of each other’s existence long before they did.
I hate the sloppiness of this show. The little details are almost always wrong or baffling. And the idea that you can maintain colonies of hundreds of people by just scavenging for years-old food in the same area is ludicrous. But that’s always been a problem with the show - the characters have never behaved realistically given the situation they are in.
