The deal with the blood test is that they’re looking for syphilis. I don’t know what they do if the test is positive (maybe postpone issuing a license till the person is treated?), however. I had three tests on the same report, but the clerk was only interested in the syphilis.
It wasn’t that big a deal for me to get mine done (I did it during my doctor’s visit last month), but Dave had to wrestle with the military for his. However, that’s all done now, so it’s one less detail. (Actually, several less details, but that’s even better!)
