Happy JIMMY DAY!

Today is the day I actually schedule the air conditioning to be installed dagnabbit! Paper irk was completed and approved 10 minutes for all that it took 3 days for them to give it to us :eyeroll:. Weather has cooled off and will actually remain spring like for the next week or so of course we wont actually need the air conditioning right away once installed. DOH!

Blurf. Another day on the right side of the grass.

Another year closer to fogeydom for Jim.

Not a thing in my book. I have several of them, one of which was actually purchased in Maui. I also had a few made here by a seamstress using some local material. As a semi-professional Parrothead I wear one when we play a gig. If Jimmy ever puts a stop Luanda in on their next tour, I’ll be ready.

As for Miss DrumBum, well, it was just a warning which I will ignore although the weather may prevent it from being seen.

The car has been delivered for an oil change. There’s a load of whites in the washer which will go into the dryer in a few minutes. I’ve got the rice and the diced onions cooked and cooling - next step - scalding cabbage leaves. Woohoo!!

It’s Cap’n’s b-day?

Why should I care?
Why should I care?

See what I did there? Jim’s a music guy; he should get the reference.

Who?

Exactly!
It’s the opening of their song, 5:15.

(Check today’s date!)
Hi everybody, happy Thorsday and thanks for Birthday wishes

I am caffinating and looking forward to a chill day. Speaking of, Houston has been down right chilly, yesterday we had a low of 51 American/10C, the record low was 49 and set in 1890. Global Weirding indeed.

Back when the coffee kicks in.

Cheers

Jim

Nice work, Quadrophenia

Jim

Limp? Ridiculous.
But watch your socks!
:dubious:

Up and caffeinated. Looks like rain today.

Happy Cap’n Day!

I am having a relatively quiet day, which is a nice change for this week. We had an email round today saying that the newbie I was supposed to be training has had an HR issue and will not be coming back at all. That’s a polite way of saying he lied on his application but I suppose they’re not allowed to tell us that. However, since he told me, I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t pass that info along, right?

The office crowd are still laughing about it.

Happy Birthday, Jim!

Hope you enjoy your day!

Today is my Friday. I am so happy. I will also have a four day weekend. I have opted to take Monday off because it will be the big 5-0 bday for me and I deserve it, damn it!

Now, I just need to get through today and hope all hell doesn’t break loose here at work. My boss is gone and so is the other analyst. So that leaves lil’ ol me to handle everything.

Howdy from the orifice! It’s actually kinda, well, ok to be back. Matter of fact I’m in a good enough mood to put Mr. I Stick My Hand Down Garbage Disposals ahead of color codin’ the file tabs.

Ok, I guess I should get back to irk. I’m also excitated over the prospect of good bbq this evenin’. YAY!!!

Supper is ready, except for the cooking part. The cabbage leaves are stuffed and packed in the pot with the excess cabbage also tucked it. I’ll pull it out of the fridge about an hour before I want to start cooking it, and once it comes to a boil, it’ll be 45 minutes.

First load of laundry is done and folded, second load is in the dryer. Once that is done, chores are done for today. I need to throw a couple of dog dishes - my daughter showed me a kind of dishthat slows down the dog while eating. Considering that our pugs are vacuum cleaners, I think this dish is a great idea, so I’m going to make some and see how they work.

I’m ready for lunch but I’ll wait till at least 11.

I knew that; I was quaking in fear that someone else had a different tune that opened with the same line. My knowledge of music lacks for anything newer than 1995 or thereabouts.
As far as the date, it’s also my anniversary. Twenty seven years of [del]hell[/del]marital bliss…

Laundry is done. Lunch is done. Shortly I will finish the towels and take them to the store.

Lazy day at FairyChatEstates.

Well congrats to the VunderTwins, then.

And Happy Birthday, Jim.

My stoopit printer appears to have died. Dammit. I printed a page, then wanted to print it again, but I got an error code and I can’t make it go away. We cleaned the print head per the manual recommendation. We unplugged it and let it sit to “reset” itself - no dice. I even downloaded the latest software updates. The error code will not go away. And, of course, I just put in 2 new cartridges. Dammit.

So, any suggestions of what relatively cheap printer I should consider or what ones I should avoid? This one is a Kodak AiO3, if that matters.

Happy birthday, Cap’n!

FCM, the printer that I bought last summer is an Epson and it does text and photos nicely. It’s just one of their entry level ones (~$80), but has better print quality than the last HP and Canon ones that I had.

You also flung a cravin’ on me for cabbage rolls. I may have to make some for Sunday dinner this week. :stuck_out_tongue:

doggio, does all of this OT mean that you’re buying the beer?
