I enjoyed dinner at da niece’s. I hadn’t seen most of her in-laws for a few years and it was nice to catch up. The pies went really well, especially the sugar free ones. I brought a plate home with me, but better yet, Jess sent home ~ 2 cups of chopped turkey leftovers for a later dish. Did I mention she’s my favorite niece?

Dinner was good. But why does it feel like Sunday?
I’m home and showered. The company bought us JimmyJohns for break and I had an Italian. Sandwich; not coworker. And Herself made us a small turkey so I had that and some stuffing when I first got home. The world is right and I am quite happy and sort of proud of myself.
Dinner at Airman’s cousin was excellent. There were plenty of leftovers, so I won’t have to worry about making dinner tomorrow night. Not many people had the corn casserole, but the pumpkin and banana breads were a hit. The pumpkin chiffon pie was deemed delicious. I forewent 'zert because I was feeling so lousy.
Called the dentist’s emergency number, but the nice representative couldn’t help me because I’m “inactive”. So I have to call first thing tomorrow. I am full of grr right now because I’m in screaming pain, but at least they’re open at 7. And Airman’s working tomorrow night so he’ll be able to take me to the dentist and home again.

No big plans for today. It will definitely not involve a foray to any place that sells stuff. Mostly it will be lazin’ around. I do have to empty the dishwasher at some point so’s I can put all the fancy eatin’ plates, fancy eatin’ utensiles, and fancy drinkin’ glasses back where they live, i.e. the china cabinet in the dinin’ room. The plates are not china, the utensiles are not silver, but the glassware is heavy crystal. Even that is not like a huuuuuuuuuuuge chore, just gotta be done.
Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene now. No rumbly tummy as it’s still happy from yestiddy’s feast apparently.

**FCD **got up with Higgs and I got 2 more hours of sleep that I didn’t realize I needed. I was so exhausted last night, I went to bed in the middle of Foyle’s Law - I just didn’t care who the Commie spy was! But through the miracle of Netflix, I can watch it at my leisure, so there’s that.
I didn’t mention my one disappointment with dinner yesterday - my mom said I didn’t need to bring pie. Because my sister BOUGHT two GROCERY STORE PIES for dessert!! Seriously? Boxed, mass-produced pies for Thanksgiving? GAG! However, Mom did make a pumpkin mousse with pecans that was outstanding. I need to get her recipe.
No idea what today’s plans involve, but we’ll definitely be avoiding retail establishments. There will be some cleaning for sure. And I might attempt a dash to Food Lion to see if they have any little turkeys left. Or not. Doesn’t matter.
Meanwhile it’s freezing out but the sun is up. It’s supposed to stay in the 30s today. brrrrrrrrr Happy Firday!

I have managed to purtify, empty the dishwasher, and put the contents of the emptied dishwasher where they belong. It was all so exhaustin’!
I need to get a gro-light for the plants in the green room. They’re sitting by the window, but it gets so little sun this time of year, their leaves are turning yellow. The window faces west, but the sun is so far south, the few rays that angle in don’t really hit the plants. So I’ll put a gro-light on a timer to ensure they get at least 6 good hours of light every day.
That’s on my to-do list. Along with a turkey. And trash bags for FCD’s shop.
Oh, yeah, and I’ve showered and dressed, so I’ve accomplished something before 10AM. Go me!
