The without a single thought MMP

Just finished “T” and I’m about to start “U” - she’d better get in gear with X, Y & Z!!

Shrimp for supper with… something. I’ll figure it out.

I went to a really cool concert last night! Strauss’s “Alpine Symphony.” There was even a thunder sheet and a wind machine! And cowbells!

BBBobbio I admire your restraint.

I have a pot roast doin’ it’s thing in the oven (I have a Dutch oven in the oven!), and I have grilled some poke chops and some boneless chikin boobs. The pot roast will do for a couple nights of dindin and the poke chops and boobs will do for two other nights. I have an assortment of easy fix vegetative matter, rice etc to accompany as needed. Howzzat for domesticity!

sari as of late whenever I need to ramp it up, I call it "goin’ all bbbobbio. "

I just wrote another one, complaining to Wally*World about a nasty ham I bought. I suppose that because I was polite, y’all aren’t interested…?..

At 0300 I learned that cat farts are as deadly as dog fart. Worked, walked Gordie ,watching football.

: stands and ovates :

Sure. Worse case we’ll give you a sitting ovation.

I tried doing tempura shrimp supper tonight. My electric wok didn’t get quite hot enough, but it was yummy anyway. I also did some cauliflower, and, dummy me, I didn’t think to do some onion rings. Oh well. Next time.

Which Strauss? When someone told Richard regarding Eine Heldenlieben (sp), “Herr Strauss, that is the most beautiful piece I ever heard!”, He responded, “Yes, I know.”

So far, we’ve finished the leftovers we were sent home with and I’ve cleaned the kitchen up from them. I then played Words with Friends and took a nap. It feels weird to go back to irk tomorrow after a five-day weekend, especially one as weird as this one was. The time flew!

Not sure what’s for dindin yet. I’m thinking poke chops with something, but I’m not sure what yet.

The Late Great Petercat once woke me out of a dead sleep with his nasty cat gas.

Just got back from the yarny lady Meetup and I’ve finished both scarves. Supper will be pasta alfredo with chicken, spinach, and broccoli.

I can’t believe I forgot to tell y’all about Jesus In Chains! This is the Crucifix over to the church house that got moved into the new church house this week. This, folks, is what is known as a fail. First, those cables just ain’t right. Seriously. It kind of looks like Jesus chained on a Cross. Second, you can’t tell it from this picture, but the Crucifix is aimin’ downward instead of outward so it also looks like Jesus is swoopin’ down on the Altar. As one could well imagine, YP, the Senior Warden, and the Junior Warden got quite an earful from all the LOLs and a few other parishoners. In their defense, YP, SW, and JW have been in contact with the contractor to get it done right.

This mornin’ before deheathenization began, I was in the new place with a couple of the Luteruns lookin’ at what had been done. When I said the Crucifix looked like Jesus in chains, they both stepped several feet away from me at the same timeto avoid bein’ struck by lightnin.

ETA: First on Eight!

Yum!

Richard. I doubt the Waltz King Johann ever wrote a symphony. Though the Alpine Symphony is more of a tone poem.

Sorry to others about all this musicological jargon. :stuck_out_tongue:

Had homemade pizza for supper. The pizza sauce is delicious!

Time for reclining. MWAH!!

Roast poke tonight and grasshopper pie. Yumm!

More rain. Rain, rain, rain. Is good, but the dog has gotten dirt on the sheets. Boo, hiss. On the plus side, I went shopping, and caught the end of a 50% off sale and everyone else was hiding. Hee! And now to dislodge the C.O.L. and go grocery shopping. A life of sheer glamour, that’s what I live.

Happy Sunday y’all.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies to my cake question! I think I’ll try the toasted oats first, and if that turns out okay, I might give the toffee a try-out too. Although I don’t know when we’ll be making this cake - there’s already so much food in the larder that we have to eat.

I am so glad to have all the turkey; it will definitely be put to good use, like tetrazzini, one of my very favorite turkey dishes. I’ve already eaten several good turkey/dressing/cranberry sauce sandwiches, also a favorite. There’s a bakery here in ABQ that makes a cranberry orange bread, I want to try some of that for a turkey sandwich! They make a lot of whole grain breads, I just discovered this place, so we haven’t had a chance to try them yet, but they are definitely on the agenda for some time this coming week.

We finally have replaced our cordless phone - YAY! I had really gotten used to having that cordless option, and felt too “tethered” by a regular phone. Yesterday morning I tried to run for the phone… not a good idea, my balance being not so hot! At any rate, I reached it in time, and said, “hello, hello?” and immediately a guy launched into his pitch for windows and doors! ARGH!!! I was pleasant though, and after informing him that I was in an apartment that I rented, wished him a good day. I really do wish that there were NO phone solicitors, though.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, enjoy what is left of it.

Okay, we [del]will[/del] did; though it was a bit warmer at ≈ 53° windy degrees on the beach, & 45°-50° in the water, with a wicked current as the tide was coming in offa LBI.

Levi!
Long (but good) day / weekend / week; home now though. I’ll start tomorrow w/ a timely topic & a tale from last week.

My friend is coming by in an hour-ish, so the candied citrus may not happen tonight. Not sure what’s for dinner :dubious: we’re both pretty broke so not sure about ordering Chinese or something, or what we’ll end up doing in that department. If it was just me i could feed myself with no problem, but TV dinners and Thanksgiving leftovers ain’t exactly company food. I need to get my butt off the couch so I can shower before she gets here so my hair is washed tonight so I can get rolling faster in the morning so I can catch the early bus so I can snag some overtime hours. Glamorous life.

At least the betta bowl is nicely cleaned, and I even switched out the glass marbles for red and green ones for the holidays. Nikki’s teeth and fur are brushed, and her claws are trimmed, so her purtyfication is complete.

It’ll be good to see my friend. She and I have been longtime buds, and in a fun twist, she’s been dating my ex-boyfriend’s twin brother. Unfortunately, it sounds like their breakup is imminent – much like mine was. So we shall be swingin’ singles together before long, I do believe.

Oh! I have cooked beans and fresh bacon, and tortilla chips and cheese and such. I do believe nachos shall be in order, with homemade refried beans.

Needs more cowbell!

shoe, there were a bunch of cowbells, on a suspended rod. I think it had sufficient cowbell.

Blurf. I took ibuprofen and my antibiotic on an empty stomach. Really bad idea.

Midget, I’m glad the concert went well. And there can never be enough cowbell. When you think you have too much, you might have enough.
