The without a single thought MMP

When you’ve tweaked it to your satisfaction, please post the full recipe so that gardentraveler can add it to the Mumpers’ Recipe Blog.

shoe, I’ll likely tweak the next one by using bok choy instead of bean sprouts and, of course, chicken instead of turkey (the turkey was leftover from Thursday). I think the bok choy will stand up to the extra garlic better.

How’d you make the sauce?

A little chicken stock thickened with cornstarch and seasoned with soy sauce, lots of garlic and some grated ginger.

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

I woke at 6, refreshed and ready for the day. Yay! I’m just finishing my breakfast, thinking about what I want to do today. That answer is: NOTHING! But we’ll see how the day goes.

It’s supposed to be a nice day - getting up to 60°. That might tempt me to venture out and clean up some gardens. Maybe…

Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 36 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 73 for the day. We’re supposed to have a warmup into the mid to maybe even upper 70s this week. We shall see.

shoe nuttin’ wrong with some mindless alone time. There are times when that is just the thing that’s needed.

red that sounds nummy! I shall try it when I next feel experimental in the kitchen.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. At some point purtification for deheatenization must occur. ‘Tis the first Sunday in Advent today. It’s kinda innerestin’ to go over to the church house now. Stuff is slowly bein’ moved over to the new buildin’. This week the Crucifix at the Altar got moved. The permanent sound system has already been moved and a temporary one is in place. The platform the Altar sets upon and the railin’ around the Altar have also been moved. Thus the Altar is kinda just settin’ there all by its little self, poor thing. Plans are to hold the first service on December 21st, which is the Service of Advent Lessons and Carols. I’d link to what that is, but I’m too lazy right now and y’all know how to Google.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I’m showered and dressed. I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer - it’s supposed to hit 60° today, so they should dry nicely. The kitchen is tidy and the dishwasher is loaded. **FCD **has bathed Higgs, so she doesn’t stink any more. Quite a bit done before 9AM!

My African violet has a bud! Soon I’ll know if it’s striped or not!

Up, breakfasted and caffeinated.

Gotta do laundry today and go to the sto’ for the eggs I forgot yesterday. :smack:

Good morning, blurf, etc. Today’s high here in TX is forecast for 76 F. Tomorrow’s high is forecast for 47 F. That’s 24.4 C for today, 8.3 C for tomorrow, metric folks. We are squarely in “wait 5 minutes” territory. (It’s probably a regionalism in a lot of areas, but there’s a running Texas joke: “Don’t like the weather? Wait five minutes.” It’s funny cuz it’s true.)
ETA @SpazCat:

It is currently a “balmy” 24 degrees outside with an expected high of 37. Break out the summer gear! Yesterday it snowed, but fortunately, it didn’t continue to stick to the roads. There are icy conditions though, especially on overpasses. We still have snow on the grass and roof.

I’ve got a fire going in the fireplace and things are nice and warm inside. Hubby is still sleeping and I’m about to start on my second large mug of coffee.

I don’t plan to do much of anything today except some laundry. I am hoping that it will be a nice quiet day and there won’t be any unexpected visitors. My mother likes to drop by unannounced and drop all her drama in my lap. This happens most every Sunday and I’m a little sick of it. Actually, I’m a lot sick of it.

Cool!

Trying to wake up enough to go deheathenate. Annoyed with both the other mammals in the house (the bird’s behaving herself). The howling furry alarm clock is bad enough, but DH standing outside the bedroom door laughing and encouraging the cat to yell was REALLY obnoxious, especially since I slept poorly last night.

Oh good, I’m not the only Forgetful Jones around here.

I’ve finished Oldest Sister’s scarf and now I’m going to start on a new hat for Executive Housekeeper at Irk. She lost her other one in the Black Hole of an Office/Storage Closet last week where it will never be seen again.

Happy Sunday!

I have to stop and think what day is it?
I am so confused.

It’s a cloudy 47 degrees out, supposed to get up to 57.
Nice weather for Sah-son to finish unloading the truck.

I slept in until 9:30 this am, and then spent a half hour talking on the phone to a friend I don’t get to talk to often enough. She irks nights so it’s hard to catch up.

I should be up doing stuff but I sure don’t feel like it. I need to irk today as well.

I feel for you Taters. I was at my mothers for a half hour and I was ready to come home. Between the bitching and gossiping I was ready to scream. I finally had to ask her if she had anything positive to say. There is no creature so miserable as my mother without a man. In her eyes any woman without a man is either a lesbian or defective.

The context of this is the mail order pharmacy sends us a nag letter every time we go to the local pharmacy to get something, and we’ve had to resort to the local one because the mail order place has not shipped VWife’s order 6 weeks after receiving it. This one is short and to the point:

Consider this a standing ovation from me and the Old Wench.

I believe I shall stand for this ovation as well.

Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and N.O.L. We had coupons so we went to the Steak 'n Snake:

Because you know
I’m all about that coupon
'Bout that coupon, no full-price

I, too, shall stand and ovate BBBobbio.

I feel a nappy poo may be in order.
