I haven’t tried it yet, but I’d use it as I’d use any other Spam: fried with eggs, fried or uncooked to make a sandwich, hell, musubi if I felt like it.
One last word on spam sandwiches; an online conversation with my daughter, telling her how I decided on what to make for dinner.
Got to go, time to make dinner. It’s spamwiches tonight. That’s because earlier today the phone rang, then quit after one ring. I said to Mom ‘what do you want for dinner’. She thought I said ‘what was that phone call’ so replied ‘spam risk’ (the standard warning from robonomo). I thought she said spamwiches, so announced I could make that for dinner.
Doesn’t take a whole lotta tomato to mush out a sandwich. Pass.
For me, a perfect sandwich has several slices of tomato, thinly sliced onion, salt and pepper on top.
My dad was fond of sardines and onions on rye. I think he only did it because he knew he wouldn’t have to share.
