I’ll definitely keep Keyne in the guild in any case, so I’ll still be involved and available when the BDL gets to a point when it can raid. I’d say we should keep scheduling the Monday night raids in the meantime, just so that we have a guild event on the calendar and occasionally have enough people to do a 10-man (or a 9-man).

Your characters will never be deleted, unless Blizzard decides to change the policy they’ve had since WoW was launched–and even then you’d have some warning. There’s no reason you can’t walk away until if and when you are ready to play again.
Well I know that. 
A large part of why I worked hard and got into a raiding guild was so I’d be primed to get into endgame content right at the beginning of Cataclysm. I regret not being able to play in Lich King raids from the expansion release, so I wanted to be ready to rock up to 85 and get into the raiding scene early. But between my general burnout, the changes in Cataclysm that I’m not sure I like, and the general move away from Blizzard’s coolness toward Activision’s douchebaggery, I’m starting to think it’s not worth it.
And I apologize for bailing on the team last night, but as I said in Vent, two Blue Screens of Death on my computer gave me the willies. I’ve never gotten a BSOD on this machine before, and now to get two in quick sucession - the day after I added two new sticks of memory to the machine to take it from 2GB to 4GB - makes me suspicious of the new memory.
I’ll probably go home tonight and pull those two memory sticks. Even though the database at Fry’s said they were compatible with my current two sticks, something obviously ain’t right.
Burn MemTest or a similar program to a CD and boot from that, then run the tests. But it’s probably the new RAM.
Did you double-check the settings in BIOS (timing and voltage)? (And did the DB at Fry’s check for compatibility with your mobo as well as your current RAM?)
Gee…I wish I had any toons above level 25 on Cairne. Right now my mains* are all on Shadow Council.

yes, mains**. I play/raid on three separate toons enough that I can’t really call only on of them my main…although I am usually on the Holy Pally or the Mage.It’s sick and I credit this with being the reason my laundry is never done.*

My 'Lock is actually the guild master for our small family guild, Bloodrose. I (and my husband) do have several other “baby” toons on Cairne, though. I’ll look you guys up when we’re on next!
Burning Dog Legion 10-Man Raid List:
Ok…I re-vamped the list with links to each toon, in order of gearscore of the strongest toon of the Doper (except I put Shin Kell up top since she’s a rock solid leader!), with BDL toons in normal type, other guild toons in italics. If I missed anything or missclassified something, let me know.
We do have quite a list of toons and we SHOULD be able to have 10 for a raid on Mondays!
Any changes to the above list? Any new 80s? Speak up, man/woman!

#10 Rolander is primarily a healer. He has a tank off-spec but I don’t think he prefers it.
If you’ve tried to access our guild discussion boards in the last week or two, you’ve discovered that our domain expired on 8/1/10. This site was owned by an inactive member of our guild (Democritus) and we’ve basically been living on borrowed time with it since he stopped playing almost a year ago. It really was not getting much use anyway in the last year, except for the occasional gold spammer.
Last night I was looking at some other guilds and discovered GuildLaunch.com, which will host WoW guild discussion boards for free (ad-supported). I registered at the site, and although I didn’t have time to set anything up for the BDL I’ll take a look tonight and see if it’s worth it. It might be nice to have a place to schedule raids, dungeon runs or other events and discuss guild issues (if there are any!) instead of having it all concentrated in this thread and the General WoW thread in this forum.
I will make those changes once we get onto a new page in this thread.

Yes, unless you do it in ToC25. Otherwise you’ll be locked to ToC10. Hmm, that’s a bit of a sticky wicket. We could always go back and do Ony10 again, or if we’re feeling really adventurous, ICC10.
I have very little exposure to these guild web boards, but wowwiki has a pretty good list:
Enjin, in particular, looks pretty snazzy. I wouldn’t recommend guildportal (haven’t seen/used guildlaunch) – my current guild on Moon Guard uses it, and I find it to be occasionally flaky (the free version, anyways – plus a maximum of 33 topics per forum with the free version).
By the way, I found a level 51 prot pally that’s been collecting dust on another server (rolled there to play with a RL friend, who has since stopped playing). I think I’ll xfer that one to rejoin your merry adventures on Cairne.
