You can also get it from the gift box doing the fires daily. On various characters, I’ve gotten it from that, the HH DF loot pumpkin, and trick or treating. Same with the squashling.
Right.
1x Headless Horseman
1x Fires daily
3-4x Trick or treating each night
I have my hallowed helm from last year…was actually thinking of deleting it for more space…but…maybe I should taunt you all with it!
Taunt: Doesn’t Hurt!
New computer: set up. WoW client now downloading. Just 9 gigabytes to go.
Hoorah! Did the old one die completely, and/or are you switching to a new OS? If not, you should be able to just copy over the files and save yourself the download time. (Assuming you have some means of transferring them, like an external HDD or DVDs.)
Mac (pre-intel, which is no longer supported) -> Wintel. Anyway, download only took a couple hours while I did stuff in another room, and now it’s done. Still have to go set up all my add ons again, which shouldn’t be too bad as I only had five or six.
Oh, excellent! Have fun with the new toy.
ETA: Only a half-dozen addons? Man, those were the days. Across all of my toons, I use about 50 now (including their various packages, e.g., Grid counts for probably at least five or six on its own).
Well, now that I don’t have to worry about over-stressing my poor outdated computer, I’ll probably become more of an add-on junkie.
Gooble gobble, gooble gobble, one of us, one of us!
50? Piker. ![]()
On my hunter alone, I use like 65-70, but that’s counting all the sub-thingies like you mentioned with Grid.
(unfortunately I’ve had to drop using unitframe addons aside from Grid for raids until I can sit down and relearn lua to recode my favorite
)
What is this, Call SFG a Piker Day? I don’t even know what that meaaaaaaans!
(Well, I do now, 'cause I looked it up, but. :D)
Hee, consider it a new word learned?
We’re even though since I don’t remember what the ‘one of us’ schtick is from. ![]()
So after noticing again that the BDL seems to be almost entirely Paladins, Druids, and Priests, I decided to head over to the Armory and compile a distribution of classes in the BDL. The spoilers are for length considerations.
Total characters:
34 Hunters
31 Warlocks
29 Paladins
28 Death Knights
24 Druids
22 Mages
21 Priests
18 Shamans
15 Rogues
13 WarriorsFrom a raiding potential perspective, looking at just 80s we have:
12 Paladins
9 Death Knights
9 Druids
7 Hunters
6 Priests
5 Shamans
5 Warlocks
4 Rogues
3 Mages
0 Warriors (1 counting Reinsgaard)Of course, availability is a lot harder to measure and skews active player counts. But if you’re like me and scarcity influences your alt choice, there you go.
Two of those 34 hunters are mine, so obviously aren’t both available at the same time
(Chimtahna, tauren, level 50 and retired/abandoned/converted to bank alt, and Jabloo, troll, level 70)
Considering we’ve been DEing a bunch of mail drops in ICC, I’d say a raiding shammie or hunter would be a welcome addition to our Monday nights.
Speaking of… I will not be at tonight’s raid. Someone will have to pick up the reins of inviting people to a group and then getting carried through
Good luck!
BTW I image there will be an influx of Shammies in about 2 months.
I’m just amused that two different people used the same obscure-in-my-dialect word on the same day.
And it’s from the 1932 film Freaks.
Unfortunately, at the rate I’m going, everyone else will be 90 by the time my Hunter gets to 80.
I’ll be impressed with anyone who gets their Shammy leveled to 85 in two months from now. I’m sure some folks will do it, but it won’t be me! Besides I want to get at least one of my raiding toons there first.
I should totally take a week off work when Cataclysm hits and do a marathon session. World First Goblin Shaman, baby!
Taking time off work to play WoW when a major expansion/patch hits is an exercise in frustration. I’d save it until they stabilized all the game-breaking bugs and downtime.
Oh, and Ama probably can’t make it tonight. Early morning tomorrow, will likely be asleep already.
