They like to have their feet wet. Places like the Pine Barrens in New Jersey.
Nepenthes live in tropical forests.
But I digress.

We were just talking with people who have a dog named Daisy. I was thinking what a cute name that would be for a pet.
The Ball State Cardinals do compete against the University of Toledo Rockets. I think Rocket would be a lovely name.
not a bad idea. i even tried to figure in a name based on our beloved ‘benny’ (beneficence), Beneficence (statue) - Wikipedia, the university’s ball brothers defacto mascot, but it just didn’t come out quite right.
widget she has been dubbed, and widget she shall remain…
Uh-huh. Yeah. I believe you.
squee!! the divemaster reports miss widget is eating cat food and doing the bottle both, so she is ready to come home tonite.
the obligatory pix to follow.
alas, i didn’t get any of the divemaster feeding the wee one, but it was certainly cute to watch.
Very cute.
I recommend naming her Calypso, just don’t call her “Callie” for short.
New life is so beautiful. Best of luck!
I’m looking forward to the new pics, and very, very sad you didn’t get pictures of the bottle feedings.
Oh my.
That’s almost TOO cute. Dangerous, should come with a warning.
Oh - oh - oh! Such a perfect little picture of sweet little baby kitty!
I need a baby kitty.
** jumps up and down in anticipation of kitten pics!!! **
Dies from cute overload.
Not to hijack, but why do this? Why for instance not feed you cat, say, Fancy Feast canned food?
Kittens don’t have very robust digestive systems. This doesn’t prevent them from trying to eat spiders, dust bunnies, and needles and pins, but really, their tiny tummies can’t handle cheap quality food. Scooping the cat box is bad enough, even if all the turds are normal. If one or more of the cats have the runs, though…gaaaaag. Gag, gag, gag.
Also, those babies are just perfect. And I am jealous, I love to bottle feed kittens.
Here we go. Widget at six weeks. At the moment it’s the only good picture I have.
She’s so daggone fast and busy, getting a decent snap of her is nearly impossible. She was so busy staring at me in the bathtub last night, she actually sat still for a couple of moments so I could snap this one.
She mastered the stairs yesterday morning right as I was leaving for work. The rest of the superkitty contingent is still not pleased by any of this. There is much staring and hissing - even from Turk, who should know better!
More pix as she permits them. Amazing how much she’s changed in two weeks’ time!
Well, that’s about the maximum cuteness allowed by law
