Sorry, folks, but there are no pics. We lunched and chatted for about an hour anna half, but it never occurred to me to have one of the guys take a pic with a phone, and my phone doesn’t do pics.
I was first, and shortly after I pulled into the parking lot, **sari **called to say that she was keeping her plague-ridden self away from us. I went inside to see if anyone else had arrived, but I was first. Shortly thereafter, **BBBobbio **arrived, asking about rubber mallets. (He’s really nice but really weird… ) A few minutes later, **tugig **showed up and I got a hug from him. And a few minutes after that, some guy walks in and opens his jacket like a flasher  revealing a **Spiderman **shirt, so our little party was complete.
I don’t know about the other guys, but my lunch was really good. The conversation was all over the place, going from **BBBobbio **and **Spidey **talking about ambulance stuff to tugig telling us about his frozen pipes (at his house - get yer minds outta the gutter!!!) I dared **tugig **to do something in a future newscast - we shall see if it plays out. All in all, it was a very pleasant way to pass 90 minutes. I highly recommend lunching with any of these guys if you get a chance.
After we said our goodbyes, I came home via Waldorf and dropped off 2 boxes of stuff at Goodwill, so yay for an empty car! **FCD **is home and not very happy. He was at work for many hours today and he’s still having problems beating his heat transfer models into submission. He’s having quality puppeh time right now.
And I’m about to assume the knit position. It’s been a good day. I sure wish one of us had thought to have a picture taken… :smack:
I did bring home a spiffy new rubber mallet. VWife says she needs it for her quiltmaking :dubious:, but I foresee teaching a coupla Boxers how to play dead.
I’ve got an ad running in the freebie section of our local on line classifieds - I’m trying to rehome a 70s vintage LaZBoy recliner. I just got a call from someone who didn’t understand what color burnt orange is (“Is it like brown?”) and then wanted to know if I’d deliver it to her house because she doesn’t have a car. Really??
If I was trying to score some free furniture and I didn’t have a vehicle, I’d find a friend who did and offer to pay for gas and pizza. I certainly would never consider asking the person who was giving it away to deliver it to me.
Some people’s children, I swear…
**swampy **- Hitler? You see Hitler?? You’re one sick dude…
