Kathy Lee Gifford. Am I the only person who likes her? She seems like a fun person to have as company. I like a woman who does most of the talking.
tofu, the great chameleon of proteins. It tastes like whatever you cook it with. The better the sauce, the better the tofu.
Spam. The pork shoulder and ham product, not the unwanted e-mail advertisements. It’s very handy to keep on the shelf when you want to make a stir fry. And no, it does not contain pork by-products. Just shoulder and ham.
Moog synthesizer music. All those Switched on Bach albums and Chopin a la Moog.
Seventies haircuts. I look at footage of young people at rock concerts in the 1970s, and I grow misty-eyed. You could have a bad hair day every day of that decade, and nobody would have noticed. What a relief that must have been.
Well here it is.
I really like fried Spam.
Brussels sprouts–cold!
Tonic water–straight.
The English Patient. (probably just me and JohnT)
The Austin Powers movies.
And the Sit N’ Sleep mattress commercials on radio and TV. “…or your mattress is FREEEEEE!” (www.sitnsleep.com)
Where? Who? Let me at 'em!
Or screw 'em… anyone who makes fun of yes, the best folk/rock songwriter ever is a fool and not worth the energy.
People who count (read: musicians) worship her. As well they should.
stoid
Frank Zappa
Sporks
Barrels of fat behind fast food places.
Avacados, spinich, artichokes, asparagus, squash, okra(fried, none of that slimey stuff for me).
A few N Sync songs.
Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, The Captain and Tenille, The Carpenters, lots of disco music(the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack rocks).
Meet Joe Black, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 8 MM
The Crocodile Hunter
Tequila. I rarely drink, and that may be why I still like it, but most people I know swore it off years ago.
Ranch dressing on pizza
Miracle whip
I’m sure there’s more…

– I’m with the Institutional food-o-philes and the rain-o-philes.
–Anchovies deserve special mention–good not only on pizza, but 'tween two slices of bread or right out of the can.
–Parmesan cheese–straight up

–Making up new rules to games
–Boredom

Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals. If nothing else, I can point out the huge value of some of the CDS I’ve collected.
Salted watermelon. And I eat kiwi’s like apples, complete with skin.
Overcast, rainy, thunderstorms, snow–all “bad” weather. I love it.
Walking. I walk everywhere, and actually take walks.
Stoid, meet my wife.
Mrs. Coffeecat singing: “I have lots of money. And a nice house. And a wonderful boyfriend. But I’m so upset because I broke my fingernaaiiiiiiiiiiiil. . .”
I like Joni, though. Just don’t listen to Free Man In Paris.
Why not * Free Man in Paris *? That’s her song about David Geffen.
