Afternoon. all! Are you all enjoying your Sunday? I went to a medieval banquet last night for a hen party, was fun but kind of predictable so my friend and I slipped out before the “entertainment” started after the meal and went outside for a drink. There was a wedding reception going on at the hotel itself and they had fireworks so we got to enjoy the free show.
I didn’t get home until about 1.30am and found 'im indoors asleep in his chair, he’d been on the stag night in town and had managed to get home relatively early for a change. So we are up late, but the bedding’s been changed and it’s in the washer now so that’s one job off the list. I have to take him to the station in about an hour to start his journey back to Belgium, then I need to call in at the supermarket on the way home, and consider what to cook for dinner tonight. I have a marrow, but no bright ideas. It’s too early for that kind of creativity.
Well, it’s been a craptastic morning, literally! In the bathroom, the towel I’d thrown on the floor for a mat was all rumpled - and under the rumple was a concentrated wet spot. Thanks, Taz. My bad for not cleaning his box last night. Plus I’d forgotten to take Bernie out last night, and she peed big time in the family room. And the trifecta was complete when daughter let Cosmo upstairs and he took a dump in the dining room. How can such a little dog make such big poops?
But I was going to do laundry anyway, so the towel will get washed. And the carpet cleaner is always at the ready, so Bernie’s gift was soon cleaned - alas, I now have a clean spot in the family room… And Cosmo’s gift was removed, along with the dried remains I found behind a chair. Why do I have all these animals again??
Daughter has gone back to camp - she’s feeling much better. Vacuuming has ensued. Dishwasher is emptied and refilled. Cosmo’s area in the foyer is cleaned up and he has fresh litter in a proper tray. **FCD **is watching TV, and I’ll be hauling the dirty laundry downstairs shortly - after I’m caffeinated. And it’s only 7:30!!!
We got a good rain last night and the forecast is for scatterd storms today. The radar looks clear for the moment, but that won’t last, I hope. We really need the rain.

I told JDD that he could cook stuff at da cave if’n he wants to rather than haulin’ cooked stuff. Then again cookin’ it here means he’d have to haul uncooked stuff, so either way involves the haulin’ of stuff. His call. He knows he can if’n he wants.
MOOOOOOM everytime I start thinkin’ I want a dog, I read one of your posts about cleanin’ up poop and pee and get over the urge. Consider that a service you provide to the MMP.
I’m up too. I’ve got my first cup of coffee and am perusing the net.
Brandi decided to pee upstairs, so after I let both dogs out, I took care of cleaning that up right away. Then, I got to come back downstairs and make my coffee.
It was my fault Brandi peed. I don’t think she was let out one last time before we all went to bed.
I don’t have any exciting plans for today. I’m just going to hang out, and maybe do some chores. Who knows, maybe I’ll do nothing. That would be nice.

We have breakfasted and I’ve got the laundry sorted and the first load is washing. **FCD **is going to fix up daughter’s classroom turtle tank. The big hermit crab that he got a couple of weeks ago shed and he scooped out the leavin’s for the classroom.
Other big chore for today - it’s flea-treatment day. yay. :rolleyes:

Gee, I haven’t LOL’d all week!
Goofed of yesterday and did nothing productive other than hang out with the hubby. He was productive as in he changed out the ugly light fixtures in the kitchen, dining room and foyer that the previous owners had installed. We went to see Inception last night which I loved! It was nice to see him as we haven’t seen each other in 2 weeks with me travellginfor work and him having to go to TX etc. There may have been some appreciating going on this weekend as well
Today is therefore designated chore day - LibbyCat needs flea treatment and the litter box changed, I need to run to the grocery store and get food as we have none plus scrub both bathrooms, dust the house and vacuum. Anyone wanna come help?

Welcome to Mississippi in the summer. We’ve officially hit triple digit temps: 100 degrees. I may go see if an egg will fry on the pavement. Summer is nice, but it makes walking outside difficult. I hate the treadmill.

I divided my time this weekend between a music festival and a hen night at a medieval banquet. Now that I’m home again, consider this my obligatory drnuken psot as I’m watching clips on ewetoob of the bands I missed…and drinking rum and coke when I should really be in bed 'cos I have to be at work tomorrow.
But I am reminded that two fine bands (Sabaton and Alestorm) are playing in my home town in October and should really be seen…
Except right now I’m watching Turisas on ewetoob - can’t beat a band that dresses like Vikings and sings drinking songs, right?
