Went to work. Got a lot accomplished. Too tired to vote (yeah, I know that means I’m not allowed to complain) About to crash for the night. Envy me.
I’ll take the 25th, since that’s the weekend after Stitches West. I’m only taking one class this year. It’s about deciphering cables without a pattern.
I got an email from my aunt today, inviting me to the family estate planning sessions and the next family meeting. I think I had better go. I’m awfully tired of finding things out after they’ve been decided, when I get the papers to sign. (I’m always second to last to sign. My brother’s last. I wonder what they’ll do when, inevitably, he can’t be found anymore? Maybe that’s why they’re re-doing things now.) I wouldn’t care what they do, except that the trusts do impact me at tax time (I usually owe, when I would ordinarily be due a refund) and not in a way that I can plan for from year to year. Unless planning on owing thousands of dollars can be called a plan. Controlling, or attempting to control, your relatives while you’re alive is bad enough, but the desire to control your relatives from beyond the grave is especially heinous.

Don’t tell me that! I need to get new glasses. Question is, can I get them with the money I get from junking my Altima (doubtful) or will I have to wait until Tax Refund Time. If the latter, Complicated Roommate better get his 1099 together so we can go to the Cool Accountant and get them filin’s filed!
(This is the last year we have to file at the same time because of the house. After I give him the last 3500 of the “shut up and leave me alone” money, I’m free. FREE!)
Christ on a cracker, I’m gonna go down to the local high schools and slap some people! Senior projects were assigned today apparently and all of the overachieving seniors in the whole county are down at the university library to do their research. While I’m all for people learning how to use library resources and write better papers, I must ask why these chi’drens can’t use their own school libraries? Or would that be too lower-class for all the doctors and professors kids?
Gah, this is why I don’t want to go back to teaching high school, ESPECIALLY in this county. Entitled bitches.

Home from work. Steak and N.O.T. for dinner. i would have had it yesterday, but I fell asleep as soon as I got home and sat dow. I cut my knee today, nothing like working with a pant lage with blood spots on it.

Evenin’ everyone. I was a very busy girl at work and will soon start dinner.
Brown Eyed Girl, what server do you and your husband play on? We play on Spinebreaker as Horde Blood Elves. We have toons on a few other servers, but these are our mains. We started playing WoW when it first came out, in fact, my husband was a beta tester before it ever came out. We played for awhile, then burned out. When Burning Crusade came out, we started playing again and created our BE characters. Anyway, it gives us something to do together because my husband doesn’t really watch much television.
The game can be addiciting, but occasionally, I step back and take a break because I find myself getting irritated over stuff going on in the game. That’s when I know I’ve played too much.
I don’t vote in the primaries either MBG, for exactly the same reason you do. We didn’t used to have to do this, but in the last couple of years they’ve required it. So, screw it, I’ll wait until the Big Election.
I guess I should start dinner.
Yay, Soapy! You should know that we have had MMPs written by complete and total strangers. In at least one case (frogger world champion or some similar name) we have never seen the OP again. And, if for some reason, the official OP doesn’t make it on time someone else will start (usually the old MMP will keep going till 9 or 10 a.m. Eastern and then someone will decide it’s too raggedy looking and start a new one.
I’ll add you in for the 25th, Shadow . Hope things start to smooth out at work, by the way.
I’m back from church. We had pancakes from Chris Cakes, which was amusing. I caught my first two, dropped one, then caught the third with help from my sweater. Pancakes were yummy.
I stopped and got Valentines on my way back. Yay! Probably won’t get to them till tomorrow, though.

Hey, Chicago MMPers, hear that storm approaching? I am so not looking forward to the commute tomorrow.
Ugh, it looks like the storming is over on this side of the lake now. Ducks in the MMP seem quite appropriate in this part of the country at the moment.
The new house’s gutters need to be cleaned! All this rain the gutters are overflowing because they didn’t clean them out in the fall! We were out there Monday and the basement is starting to seep. I wonder if they’ll let us go over there and clean them out? I know the seller injured himself taking an air hockey table out of the house last week, and it didn’t look like they got anything else done. But we had to file an extension, so they have another week.
I’ll be busy tomorrow making more phone calls. Stupid lenders. Nothing like having to switch lenders at the last moment because suddenly things that were in the contract from the very start they don’t like. But it seems as though it worked out for the better, because we’re getting a far better deal from FHA.
My crocheted Swiffer cover isn’t coming out like I had planned, so I’m modifying it as I go along. I always forget that the chain may look long enough, but after the second row, I need to check again. Now I’ll have to crochet straps and do the button on this one. Maybe. I’m still thinking about it, I’m stubborn and don’t want to frog it if I can help it.
Apparently Mother Nature is having an episode, a tantrum, if you will. Someone needs to smack her, but good.
Bon homie etc is continuing as of yet. We watched House together–a good episode.
Haircut tomorrow-I think major change is due. Get rid of the gray, but I think I want layers, maybe something that softens the hairline a bit. I trust Katie (my stylist). If I feel like it, there will be pics.

Hah. Funny you should mention that - That Guy, Cloud Maiden, and I had a discussion about this awhile ago, and about the different ways men and women supposedly respond. It’s basically an ethical dilemma over whether human life takes precedence over the law (to simplify it quite a bit). What info is your friend looking for, exactly?
She just wanted my thoughts on it. I don’t want to think about it at all–it seems to me that there would be a third option or something. Something about it just smacks of set up to me. Of course it IS a made up situation, but I’m just not interested in hypotheticals right now…
So would women steal the medicine and men wouldn’t or vice versa? IOW, give me the answer–I’ll let you copy off my paper later in the semester.
