Load of towels in the dryer and no plans for the evening due to no cash situation.
I am enjoying being a lazy slug. More of the same planned for tomorrow.
Kitty food and kitty litter was purchased so the cat is taken care of. Not sure what I will be having for dinner. I am suddenly hungry. Baked potato and something I think
I just gave Libby some wet cat food as a treat. I almost vomit at the smell so it really is a treat. She scarfed the lot and is now snoozing on the arm of the couch. Cute kitty.
Dinner plans changed somewhat - no potatoes in the house so I am having a baked sweet potato, eggplant parmesan & sallit!
Evenin’ Y’all! Hope everyone’s evening is goin’ well.
Party on Haze and MBG!
Herbs the woman I refer to as Albeeeny mom just moved into an assisted living place and really seems to like it. She moved into a one bedroom that’s really nice. Here’s hoping your dad settles in and likes his place.
Dinner tonight was good. The garlic smashed N.O.T. turned into mac & cheese because when I opened the pantry, my hand brushed up against a box of macaroni and knocked it over. I figured it was a sign. The field peas with snaps turned into butter beans because when I opened the freezer, the first veggie I saw was butter beans. I figured it was another sign. The breadsticks turned into biscuits cause, well, biscuits sounded better with mac & cheese and butter beans. The grilled smoked pork chops didn’t turn into sump’n else, so we did have those. I have a beef roast with carrots and N.O.T. ready to put in the slow cooker tomorrow mornin’ for lunch after church. I’ll also steam some spareguts to go along with that. After we ate, ol’ y’all know who decided we needed to go to DQ and get choco-dipped cones, so we did. Then I wanted to stop by the store cause I decided fresh spareguts must be had. Thus we have.
Ok, off to catch up on the Dope a bit and then to beddy bye.
Mornin’ all. Back at work (yech!), but lazy. I have another bad dose of the Don Wannas, so have been wasting my morning playing Travian and surfing the intarwebs, plus idly sitting around in other people’s offices, wasting their time too!
LiLi, I forgot to mention before that “bicycling” HRH’s legs and massaging her tummy (clockwise from the front or anti-clockwise if you massage her back) seemed to help (sage advice from herbs, that echoed what HRH’s physiotherapist told me). Sometimes, laying her on her tummy across my legs and rubbing/massaging or patting her back helped quite well, as it provided gentle pressure on her tummy. HRH’s physiotherapist used to get the most amazing farts out of the little tike, I wanted to bring her (the physio) home with us to work her magic in the middle of the night! After Noor turned 1 month old, I also used Infacol drops (Simethicone) with some good results. The Simethicone is like a surfactant that weakens the surface tension of the gas bubbles in the tummy, causing them to join together and make one big bubble, which is much easier to burp up (see the following link).
Okay, I better go do some work, before anyone figures out what a lazy cow I am!
Haze, you would serve store-bought kimchii!?
Since I don’t feel like being predictable, I’m saying nothing about your Korean Dress picture
Also, I am probably the world’s worst cook, and even I know never to cook any kind of pasta or pasta-like food for more than half the suggested time. So I’m with you and GT on that one.
**Spaz **-- ouch… I hate it when the dogs decide to poop on the floor (mostly hard-tile and parquet, thank Og!); and that must be easier to clean than the car seat
{{{Cutie}}} – you just don’t seem to be able to beat the blahs, do you?
Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I put the roat, carrots and N.O.T. in the slow cooker and it’s starting to smell good in the kitchen. MMMMMMM…
I decided this was the day to move the kitteh stuff out of the guest room and into the proper places. Litter box on the basement stairs landing, food on the half wall, water - well, he can drink from the same thingy the doggies use. Apparently, Kitteh was displeased - when I went in to vacuum up the bits of litter on the carpet, I caught him peeing on the bed!!!
So the bedding went into the washer (pillow, too. stoopit cat.) and after I vacuumed, I closed the room. I showed kitteh where his box is and where his food is. Then **FCD ** and I left for breakfast. We went by WalMart to get some anti-pee spray, and a buncha kitteh toys. I’ve sprayed down the tiny spot on the mattress pad, and there are now toys allllllllll over the living room. I’m about to go toss the sheets into the dryer and put the comforter in the washer.
Stoopit cat. Still unnamed. I like Tornado, but **FCD ** doesn’t, so he’s still unnamed.
Plans for today - laundry, helping **FCD ** with the materials list for his design project. I’d like to run the vacuum in the rest of the house. Empty the dishwasher. Surf. Whatever else occurs. Good times.
How did it get to be this late? I’ve been surfing around with NPR in the background, trying to wake up. Now I’ve switched to the NPR music page and am listening to The Dixie Hummingbirds on Jazz Set.
How was the party, Hank?
Guess I should get cleaned up and think about what I’m doing today. After church I’m going to visit a friend who had a hip replacement last week. I also need to do laundry and then I think I’m going to go see Enchanted with one of my work friends. We’ll see what I feel like…
My heat was out yesterday and I didn’t notice it until I got up from my nap around 8:30pm. So I put on my sneakers and went down to the garage to hit the red button (which did the trick last time) and nothing happened. So I came up stairs, called the oil company (it was around 9pm), and told them I left the garage door open for the guy so he doesn’t need to ring the doorbell - he can just go right to the burner and clean it/fix it/whatever and would he please close it when he’s done - I was going to sleep. SHe said sure he’d be here before midnight. SHe was right - it was 11:58pm when the guy rang the doorbell - I’m assuming he did so just to let me know he was here, brcause he couldn’t possibly has missed a wide open and b rightly lit garage…. he worked on it about an hour and when I woke up at 6 to, um, “recycle” the house was nice and toasty.
Thing is this used to happen every time I got an oil delivery, before I got the new combo burner/water heater back in '02 (or maybe '03). Now it’s happening again? [sarcastic mode on]the joys of homeownership[sm off]
