I haven’t gone back and read all your threads, but from your OP I’m guessing you’re confusing “message board” with “blog”. Part of keeping this place interesting and enjoyable for everyone means we sometimes have to encourage/demand that single-minded posters not dominate the topic of conversation. Beaucarnea seems to have taken you under her wing. You are correct to thank her, as she has no obligation whatsoever to help you. You are far less obnoxious than some previous posters, as I’m sure even your most fervent detractors will admit.
People have different thresholds for tolerating crap (not accusing you directly, as I’ve only read one of your previous posts). It seems that you’ve met and crossed a few members thresholds, but that’s easy enough to do in some situations.
I only request that you do not test the boundaries of Beaucarnea’s threshold for tolerating crap. She has gone above and beyond even the highest expectations one might have from a virtual stranger. Some people don’t even have real life friends that will go to the extents that she has. Was her advice, personal attention and level of caring worth less than fifteen fucking dollars?
If you say yes, well, I’d have to join the “fuck off” wagon. If you agree that she, and this board as a whole has benefited you, just drop the complaints. Life is not, nor will it ever be custom tailored to you. Get used to being flexible.
Beaucarnea may not agree with me on this at all, but it seems to me that since you have a supporter here, you might want to consider playing nice and not making it look like she was helping out an asshole. I’m not saying that anything you did was assholish at all, I’m just saying don’t bite the hand that feeds you. The board is the hand, and she is the finger. Don’t you dare make her think twice about the help she gave you. I’m sure she’d do it for anyone, and probably regardless of the circumstance, but you owe it to her to not stir up shit on the board where you found her to help you.
