This is the End, my MMP Friends...

Happy Baker Birthday!

Happy Butterversary!

Hope your wife feels better soon, Bbbobio! Dogs in the dark are dangerous!

Today, for reals, I will clean the house, go shopping and do the laundry!

Sigh.

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE****

Home. Got my peas soaking, dishwasher washing, laundry rolling. Bout to make a sammich for lunch. Need to figure out attire for tonight and probably iron:eek:.

Took a nap, had some lunch.
Pasta alfredo, from a package, and it was good but not something I should be eating. I really wanted some mac and cheese but don’t have any. Of course now my stomach will be hurting but it was worth it.

We’re going out for supper in a bit. Gotta decide where. We’ll be back home well before the craziness starts.

**FCD **bought his desk chair and floor mat and returned the graphics card that didn’t fit in his new computer.

I finally cleaned the windshield - we’ll see how well we did when we go out.

Yup, endless excitement at FairyChatEstates!

My NYE dinner was some mini boneless wings, some chicken fajitas, garlic-parmesan fries, and salted caramel cheesecake. Happy tummy.

I grilled chikin tenders which we had on a sallit with garlic bread. Made for a nice simple but tasty dindin. Before beddy bye tonight I shall turn on the slow cooker and let the peas do their thang on low all night long. As I said earlier everything else will need to cook in the mornin’ but that will be no prob. That’s one of the best things about havin’ my little table top convection oven as well as a regular oven.

As far as tonight goes, well, we’re inside, warm and dry and that’s the way we shall stay. Hope all you partayers have a good time and are safe out there.

We were going to have dinner at the Leonardtown Grille, but it was closed. They’ve got a NYE event starting at 7. Bummer. So we ate at Salsa’s. It was OK, but not what we were after. Oh well…

**FCD **is about to assemble his new chair. I will soon assume the crochet position and try to find something on TV worth watching. Somewhere along the line, I’ll get out of real clothes and into fuzzy robe and slippers for max chillage. Yep, we whoop it up on NYE!

It’s New Year’s Eve, I’m an old married woman, and I don’t drink. The Intarwebnets at home is being flaky, and I’m trying to get the other two people interested in dinner.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Good thing we were planning to stay in anyway, since I’m definitely sick. May not even stay up until midnight. Not sure whether to blame it on customers or the kiddos in the church nursery.

I had a good Christmas season. On the 20th, I participated in the annual Christmas cantata as part of the choir (I sing bass); unfortunately, my mother, who sings alto, aggravated her fibromyalgia by means of standing up for a good 45 straight minutes. She’s still in recovery, taking naproxen sodium and applying Salonpas patches as needed.

On the 22nd, we went out with a group of people from our church to do some Christmas caroling to our shut-in families. Afterwards we went back to church and had a reception.

On the 23rd, Mom’s payday, we went out with eke-sorta-gf and eke-sorta-gf’s-daughter to see Star Wars and participate in a Messiah sing-a-long.

On the 24th, we went to a Christmas Eve candlelight service at church; afterwards we had Huddle House for dinner. Terrible service at the one in Suffolk, though! The one in Franklin is much better.

On the 25th, we had dinner with our landlady and her family. I made the cranberry sauce, which was a big hit. (The trick: Stir in orange marmalade near the end.)

I think it’s time for me to hit the rack. *** MWAH!!***

Careful about hitting the rack; I hear that’s painful.

Blackeyed peas for New Year’s Day? Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) soaked peas tonight for Hoppin’ John tomorrow.

She is Navy, and Nice, Dammit!
She can deal with it.

And you are the top of the best!!! Hugs to you, dear heart.

Work was irk today. The shift after us had today off because of the holiday and tomorrow the shift before us has the day off tomorrow. Which means our shift is basically screwed over. We (Herself and I) cancelled our usual BBQ get-together because of that, the funeral today, and various other reasons so I have the night for sitting down with big cigars and home-grown booze. What I have is basically a 50/50 mix of tea and high octane rye. When I finish half a quart of each I plan on stopping. Not only will it chase away colds but any snake that bites me right now may fall over dead. Even those horrible flying tree snakes. See ya’ll tomorrow.

(And God Bless the man who invented spell-check. Now if he would just come up with a coherence check I would visit Great Debates more often  )

Can this guy suck up, or what?
:dubious:

I wish I could do that so well.

Annoyed with TheElf. Drunk. In bed. Hate everything. Happy Fucking New year.

Starting out good for me, just got into a big blowout argument with a friend. We just got into it two days ago and I apologized and damn if she didn’t bring up the same topic again today. She simply will not give it a rest.

She is the kind of person that if you tell her she looks nice today will take it to mean that you think she looks ugly every other day.
I am so damned tired of her illogical thinking.

We tried to stay up until midnight. Really we did. See the time of this post. However, I am sooooooooo sleepy I can barely keep my eyes open. OYKW is already abed. I shall now join him.

{{{Nettie}}} feel better soonest.

flipper I was wonderin’ where you were. Glad to have ya back.

Nitey Nite Y’all!
