I remembered to call the electric company - yay me! I’ve got the payment plan set up with the new credit card, thereby avoiding having the plug pulled. I just need to remember to stop by the credit union on the way home to deposit a check, and maybe make an appointment to see our financial guy while I’m there. Close to the end of the day. Huzzah!
HOME!!! We’re going out for not-too-terrible Chinese for supper.
And just before I left, Jason gave me a couple of things to do tomorrow - both are really tedious and boring, but at least they’ll keep me occupied for a while, so there’s that.
Temps are in the mid-40s - it feels like winter at the moment, and the gray overcast just adds to the chill. Quite a change from walking around in shorts last week in FL.

It hurts my bare feet to put the dog out, but yesterday I had the windows open.
The landlord next door came by, now the damn dog won’t stop barking. I think he is getting a little hearing back, he knows when somebody is at the door but not when they leave. We have been working hard to clear up his chronic ear infection. Unfortunately, he started barking during an irk call and I can get a ‘complaint’ for that.
Dindin has been ingested and the kitchen is all cleanded up. Go Me! I also have a poke roast ready to go in the slow cooker tomorrow. OYKW is preparin’ him a bath. All is well.

I just added a bag of pellets to the stove - I expect it’ll turn itself off for a while tomorrow since it’s supposed to warm a bit. Then the cold comes to stay for a while - nights below freezing for a stretch. Winter at last??
Two more work days this week, and we’re going to try to see the new Star Wars movie on Thurs or Fri.
Don’t complain. I cleaned out all of the automated alerts emails from the past three days, then I had an 11 minute meeting to complete my ‘work’ for the day. Other than that, I occupied my day by doing con-ed, going for a run, & reading prosumer electronic product review. :rolleyes:
The fam was all gathered at Bro’s house today, so we had a video chat. It was wonderful to see them all, but now I am very sad, well, wistful, that I wasn’t in the same room with them. sigh
Home from work. Most of the seasonal force was gone so things seemed kinda empty. No the speculation begins on what kind of normal volume we’ll be getting and who else may get cut or demoted. I am not taking part in that; since the checks are all basically the same I could live without the titles I had for peak and if I get let go it won’t be like it never happened before.
This week is going to be painfully slow at irk. Lots of people are off this week, so there’s not much going on. In the next few weeks, though, it’s going to get insane as people violate their parole and get revoked. At least we get half a day off for New Year’s Eve.
The new car is doing just fine. I have to install my radio, but that’s not going to be a big deal. I just need a wire hanger, some electrical tape, the blood of a virgin, and some cable ties.
