So Ok listen up.
When I ask a simple question like" What does that mean" of a message board where some of the smartest people on line used to hang out it is not a request for medical advice.
See it may be a shock to many here and definately Dr Matrix that I am not a sixteen year old juvenile. Its been many years since I have been that gullible.
I do not expect you Dr Matrix to read anything into my posts. You took a simple question and turned it into something that it was not. I was merely asking what high numbers ment.
Hell I don’t even know what high numbers are.
FWIW Zette thinks I’m stupid too.
This used to be a good interesting message board.

Um…do you mean this thread?

I didn’t read that as anyone calling you stupid. Seems to me you were asking a question on a message board that would be more appropriately asked of your doctor, and were advised of that.

I’m assuming you’re referring to this thread? Your (fairly incoherent) OP specifically refers to adjusting dosage. It’s not a stretch to assume that you’re asking questions to aid you in changing your dosage, so I don’t see why you’re so bent out of shape at Dr. Matrix in this fairly incoherent OP.

Instead of starting threads in the Pit, why don’t you go see a doctor?

IANADoN (Doctor or Nurse), but I used to work in a cardiology clinic. Adjusting the dosage of warfarin is nothing to screw around with yourself, and so I don’t blame other people for sounding very concerned when a question that hints at that possibility is posed.

How the hell do you get anything like self dosage out of a question about what high numbers mean???

You like many here simply think everyone else posting here is an idiot.

From your OP in that thread:

Hey stupid.
We as I indicated above is the Medical professional at the Drs office and I.

FWIW, I would have been comfortable discussing why a hypothetical patient’s INR value (measure of how thin their blood is) can vary so much on a constant dose of warfarin. Factors such as diet, metabolism, and heck, even phases of the moon (maybe) come into play. It’s a common occurance of nearly everyone who takes the drug. And as long as I was not expected to advise anyone in particular on an internet board about what dosage they should take, I wouldn’t feel such a discussion is a problem. So I was a little surprised to see it closed.

Asking for a diagnosis on a message board is a whole 'nuther issue, IMHO.

So I was on your side until you called our fellow posters stupid.

::head explodes::

ommmmmmmm…

Okay, via my mighty powers in the realm of translating incoherent speech to coherent, I have determined that justwannano was actually trying to say

“Warfarin
AKA coumadin
I’ve been taking it at the recommended dosage to prevent blood clots since my surgery. My doctor’s decided to change my dosage because my “numbers are high” - what the heck does that mean? What numbers? How high? Why doesn’t the standard dose work for me?”

ommmmmmmm…

If that’s the case, then I can see why he’s upset about it being closed, but seriously man… you’ve been here for four and half years, you have over 2,000 posts, and I THINK English is your native language… work on your coherence!

I should have previewed. Then I could have added “politeness” to the list of things to work on.

I re-read the previous thread and this one. Please quote to me where you indicated that you meant “we” to mean the doctor and you.

I assumed it didn’t mean that simply because if it did, then the doctor would be able to explain to you what the “high numbers” mean.

People responded as they did because they were concerned about your health, not because they were delighting in calling you stupid. But, I guess they saw what they get for trying to be concerned - insults.

Sounds like one big 'ol misunderstanding to me. Let’s sweep this under the rug and go make some lemonaid.

How does a member who’s been here for four years and has over 2k posts come across so angry and incoherent?

First please answer my question as to why anyone would think that “We” didn’t mean my Dr 's representative and I.
Like I said above ,Some here think that they are so superior mentaly that they can guess the op’s motives.

Because this happens all the time.
Somewhere Dr Matrix got a wild hair and…lost all comprehention of real.

Thank you Quadop.

Hey “stupid” is almost a complement here.

How about a good night of night of sleep? I hate watching an old timer flameout.

Maybe he* needs the dosage of his other medication adjusted.

[sub]*He=him, not him and his doctor.[/sub]

And apparently unable to figure out the quote tags.

I’m going to assume you’re not feeling well and are stressed out about your medical condition, and that’s why you read my reply as thinking you’re “stupid”. I didn’t say that, I didn’t imply that, and I don’t think that. I hope you find the information you seek from a reliable source and that you’re feeling well soon.

Why would I think that? Well, I figured if you were working with your doctor, you would have asked him or her what “high numbers” are.
