Afternoon! We still have sun here, I don’t know what’s going on… It does mean my strawberries and currants are ripening away nicely, so I’ve been gorging myself on 'em today.
Have irk in a bit, just hope my uniform’s dry in time- I got crapped on by a bird yesterday (irkin’ at an event at the zoo), and it isn’t quite the fashion to show up at a posh event so decorated. Unfortunately, the machine’s soooo slooooow… So of course my housemate was already using it when I got up.

I went thru my closet with an eye to my cruise, specifically 5 formal nights and 21 “smart casual” dinners. I decided all I needed were some jewel tone tops to go with otherwise boring pantsuits. I just ordered 5 tops, mostly Ts in bright colors, so I’m good for dinners. I think I might want to get a couple more pairs of decent jeans - too many of my jeans are kinda nasty. And I’ve got 2 dresses that need a little bit of altering - they’re sleeveless, and there’s too much fabric under the arms. I need to take them in about 2" on each side - fortunately, that’s a fairly easy repair. Meanwhile, the rest of the stuff will be laundered so they’re ready to go.
Plus the house has been vacuumed, and I’m thinking I can get the clothes off the lines now. And the house is still open - YAY!! 
I shall mark the bottom of the mattress pad with a Sharpie.[sup]TM[/sup] That should help. The sheets I have no problem with, just the pad.
I’m takin ’ a break from the cee-mint pond for a few minutes. Not horribly hawt out buy hyoooomid so I decided I needed a little a/c. I am a delicate flower after all.
You say delicate flower, I think fart blossom - coincidence??? 
The windows are still open here as well.

Unfortunately one of the neighbors leaves their banking dog outside and somebody on a motorcycle keeps revving up the engine.
Mom is home. I wonder for how long?
Cee-mint pond time is over. Everyone is showered. OYKW is in the bedroom takin’ a nap and JDD and Partner are snoozed out in the guest room. No matter where I am in da cave, I hear snorin’.
I made up some burgers for dindin. We shall dine upon bacon cheeseburgers and fries. I have lettuce and ‘maters to go on the burgers so they’ll be healthy. Partner made and brought over a key lime pie for dessert. He makes a nummy key lime pie. It has also been decided that a viewin’ of O Brother Where Art Thou shall happen. Fine by me as that movie tickles my funnybone.
All is bliss at da cave.

We ran an unsuccessful errand, but we came home via FoodLion and got a rotissed chickie. I’m going to make zucchini and twice-baked N.O.T.s to go with it, and I’ll probably heat up the leftover peas-n-carrots. Easy supper - yum!
Part of our erranding included stopping at the store to pick up my sales check from May. It was a whopping $4.56 - you read that right! Envy me my art career!!!

The slumberin’ hoarde has arisen. Cocktail time has been decreed. Gin ‘n tonics shall ensue followed by the grillage of burgers and fryin’ of fries and bacon (whilst fully clothed thankyewverymuch).
Zukes are in the oven, N.O.T.s are in the nukelator being defrozed. I’s hongree!!!

Nuked zukes wouldn’t have worked - these had to be baked, then broiled. And they were yum, as was all of supper. I’s stuffded!!

My poor Nephew. She-bud (age 6) is having her first sleepover (5 of her friends), and He-bud (age 8) won’t stop flirting with them.
And so endeth my day. Time to recline! MWAH!
Finally had to close my window, I don’t think it’s warm in here but the noise from outside was getting to be too much. The little girls across the street are playing basketball, the boys cuss which is not too bad, but the girls squeal and there is only so much of that I can take.
Turn on the lawn sprinkler, full blast.
