This Might Be The New MMP

The rain has stopped and it’s brightening outside, but still no sun. I do see blue skies to the west. Higgs is asleep with her daddy and the house is quiet. All in all, a nice morning here.

Morning. I’m up, caffeinated, and off to work. it’s cloudy, but less humid out at the moment.

And since it worked before:
Go Kings, Go!*

*Sorry, Catdude

Herbs, hope you’re feeling better today!

I had a biiiiiiiiiiiiig brekkie at Pearlys. Ham 'n cheese omelet, grits, and a bizkit. I’m stuffded but happy. OYKW had the same. I kinda want to hide under the desk and snooze. Alas, that cannot be.

The sky is lookin’ dark over to the west. I hope that’s a harbinger of rain. I want a big ol’ frawg strangler here.

Ok, guess I should be doin’ some irk stuff, dangit!

Morning all,

The spousal unit requires much smacking with a large smelly fish. He got all pissy this am because he couldn’t find the 1/2 cup measure for the third of fourth morning in a row that he can read to scoop his oatmeal. We have a second 1/2 cup measure but apparently the numbers aren’t as obvious and he doesnt want to take the time to find his glasses. We have a 1/4 cup measure that has numbers on it like the 1/2 cup measure he likes, but apparently that is just TOO MUCH EFFORT! I had “hidden” the “good” 1/2 cup measure in the flour and forgotten it. He never once asked me where it was nor for my help in finding it just slammed around the kitchen passive agressively until he blew up at me. GRRRRR!

And to make my life even better, today is a forced apperance at the command picnic, which I had the pleasure of paying $5 for things I don’t like to eat.

And my roof, really needs to be replaced and we are having trouble finding someone to lend us the money at not a scarily high interest rate, which makes no sense as we have excellent credit. I might be forced to ask my parents for a loan. I think I would rather fight pointy stick weilding sri lankin spiders.

Good morning all. Nothing new over here. Maybe some rain, maybe not - it’s gonna be real hot today (up in the 90s on the American scale), so that sometimes causes big thunderboomers to pop up with no warning.

And it’s also movie day, swampy.

My early morning piss off at the HFH is that I stepped in a big wet spot on the dining room carpet when I was putting Sah-dog out. Sah-dog does not make puddles in the house. He wouldn’t stop barking at the repair men yesterday but he doesn’t make puddles in the house.
I’m a little upset as well when I got my mail and there was a letter from the oncologist with his name and specialty listed in the return address. I don’t want the nosy ones knowing my business.
So I need to fill out the questionnaire and sign my renewal contract for my job. I think I’ll do both of them today.
Today is the last day the bank is accepting offers on the house. So I hope to hear something by Firday. Another house I like just dropped in price but not enough for me to put in an offer. However you never know how low they will go. One house I liked went from $85,000 to $55,000.

The sun is shining and it’s mega-humid out there! We’re just back from the gym and erranding. I’ve got some crocheted items in the wash that I’ll be delivering to my mom for their AARP outreach. I’ve boxed the pottery that’s going to my sister. I checked my clay, but it’s still too wet to work. Maybe I’ll roll out some drier clay later.

**Sean **- love that link!!

**Jynx **- any chance you can get a home equity loan to do your roof? Just a thought…

Herbs, sorry to hear about your ouchie, hope you are feeling better fast!

Sean, thanks for the link, haven’t seen that one before but it does remind me why I hate going to the movies with so many inconsiderate eejits around. Never seen a camel there though…

Today I have only been a bit productive. Had to get out of bed at 9am to answer the phone but as it was for me anyway, it was a good thing. Lazed around for the rest of the morning, then made some lunch and went into town for a couple of things.

Next will be a half-hour workout followed by half an hour collapsed in a heap in the corner before I can work up the energy to have a shower. I’ve got some ironing to do, the veg man is coming later and it’s my turn to cook dinner tonight.

Tomorrow I have an invite for lunch with a friend so that will be nice, it means I have something to get out of bed for!

You would think someone who makes that much money would be a bit more professional.
:dubious:

Sweet! Strawberry Pop Tarts in the junk food machine! And they’re BAKED WITH REAL FRUIT! It says so on the package.

Howdy Y’all! Sean I’ll check movie day out when I’m at da cave. Just as a precaution I make it a habit not to click on links while in the orifice. Also, since they’re made with real fruit, that means it’s healthy so you can eat a bunch of Strawberry Pot Tarts![sup]TM[/sup] All win-win!

Sari sounds like the oncologist needs someone to chat with him about discretion.

Oh and it’s sunny and hawt out, not rainy and stormy like the weather PTB said it would be.

Plain brown wrapper, perhaps? I understand why sari doesn’t want her “roomies” knowing her business, but when I get mail, the return address often determines what goes immediately into the trash unopened. If my doctor used a non-descript PO Box and no name in the return address, it’d likely be tossed. Just sayin’

Smokey let me sleep in this morning. Felt good. Much less blurfy.

If it just had his name and/or the hospital I’d be okay with it.
But it has CANCER CENTER in BIG letters along with his specialty listed.
I’m sure it’s just standard addressing but you’d think there would be a HIPPA violation in there somewhere.
When it comes down to it I don’t want Sah-son seeing it either. I don’t want him to worry unless or until there is something to worry about.

I need to go get cleaned up and go to let out hell pup. I am not up to walking myself let alone walk a big strong dog. Then I’ll finish filling out the medical questionnaire and then fill out and sign the contracts for irk.

Then I’ll fill out my grocery order for this week. Have to remember to get yogurt for the dog. Adding some to his food seems to be helping with the chronic ear infection.

G’morning all! I am feeling better this morning, although I do have a bruise under my right jaw. Odd, that - I thought I had struck the table edge on my right temple! It’s not too bad, though - thank goodness it didn’t make me have a black eye. That’s happened to me before. And I am very glad that I’m not feeling as shaky as I was yesterday afternoon. For a while there, I was really wondering if I would be able to get up or if I would have to call 911.

It is very hot in ABQ - we are into the mid-90s and it looks like it will remain there for the forseeable future ! So summer is indeed here. I’m gonna take another day to rest up, then tomorrow it will be off to the Whole Foods to pick up a few things there.

Glad that it’s Wednesday, hope everyone has a good day today. And thank you all so much for the good wishes!!

N.O.L. time but still full from this mornin’. This means around twoish I’ll probably have a rumbly tummy. I do have some peanut butter crackers in my desk for just such an emergency however. So I shall use chow down time to do some readin’ of da dope instead.

I’m sorry for you and your pup, sari. It sounds like she had a good life.

We’re between rains here. It’s supposed to do this all week. :frowning: At least we got a little glimpse of the sun for about thirty minutes this a.m.

I think I’ll go play in some clay for a while.

I’m flying in to your [del]fair[/del] hot city in a couple of weeks. Guess I better do so in short sleeves.
