I am still here, I just had not checked this message page earlier today. As one poster said, this is quite a pile-on. I am still here, and I am shaken by how lightly most of you take the gospel. Those of you who have made rebuttals using the scripture have valid points which I will take in to consideration in the future, thank you for your honest time.

I’m going to have to ask you to clarify the meaning of “troll”. I didn’t think anything of it reading that I was “dressed as a troll”, but then other posters used it as well. I assume this means a generally mean-spirited person, but I do not wish to go on this assumption.
And if a person can be banned for being concerned about the posters in this community, and believing strongly enough in Christ to say something to them in an attempt to reach out, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

We’ve been thinking of developing a futures market and I suppose I’d have to consult Manhattan on how to properly bring these guys to the exchange. Liquidity might be an issue as it’s a bit hard to predict just when the Gospel Thumper will cross the hypocrisy threshhold and enter into an implicit contract with the Devil, but I think we can do it.

Be concerned all you want - in Great Debates. That’s where witnessing is allowed here as you’ve already been told - a number of times in fact as I’ve seen responses to some of your other posts.

Can’t speak for my fellow Pagans on the board, but that’s precisely the point. We just try to figure out what make sense, how to live our lives so the world’s a little better when we leave it. No fixed set of morals will ever make sense, because what’s right and what’s wrong have a lot to do with context.
For me, morality is a major part of my life, but I honestly can’t see how sex is a moral issue, beyond issues of consent. On the contrary, my gayness has taught me a thing or two about “judging not lest ye be judged” and compassion.

SBJ, I’m sorry that you feel this way, and for how the reactions to your OP must come across to you. I don’t envy you your position right now.
Please take comfort in the fact that someone takes your concern literally. I don’t think you’re a troll-I think you’re a good person with a genuine concern for others, and a faith that you stood up for (and that says a lot for what you believe in and how you interpret it to apply in your daily life.)
However I’m not sure this is the forum where your worries could or will be alleviated. This is too much of an, well, open place for any kind of Christian doctrine to catch, sorry (?) to say. So many people are wary/skeptical of the Christian religion anyways…

We’re concerned about aggressive Christians because we assume that anybody who has a lock on the one true faith is a dangerous fanatic who will be very annoying and try to convert us even though we may know a lot more about faith than they do. They are unable to see reason and tolerance through their fanaticism and hence represent a danger to others and to themselves.
Our aggressive homosexuals are often exuberant and enthusiastic about their condition but they generally have the courtesy not to insist that everybody else convert to homosexuality just because it’s good for them.
Would only that the aggressive Christians shared this courtesy then perhaps their viewpoints would be equally embraced.
