I found the concept of the prank completely horrific, and stated so in the thread, however, I find it really worrying that a thread would be closed because it discusses a distasteful subject?
There are a thousand threads on here that cover subjects I find distasteful, and about ten thousand opinions that I find equally distasteful. Thats part of the reason I come here, to expose myself to opinions and viewpoints that differ from mine. I found it very interesting in that thread to see how those who find the prank funny reason.

I am sorta surprised that the original thread was closed – it didn’t look like it was being closed for legal reasons, but rather for ethical reasons. And given the general tone of the thread (“this is a terrible idea!”), it seems akin to closing a thread condemning Gnutella-style-piracy because a moderator hates G-s-p.
All the same, I look at KidCharlemagne and can’t help but wonder if he’s the rat bastard I think he is.

Trust me, I’d love to close all the “Gee, My Farts Smell” and “Should My Stool Look Like This Or Had I Better Cut Out the Limburger Sandwiches?” threads, but the administration tells me that the customer base wouldn’t stand for it.

I’m an often lurker and sometimes poster. I’ve been a member since Jul 1999 (same as Ike). In 3 years, I don’t think I’v ever posted in the Pit. Until now.

Not so old fashioned that it’s out of style; baseball players still inflict this on each other. I see it on tv occasionally; when the camera pans over to the dugout and someone’s dancing, chances are they just got lit up. Teach ya not to drowse off on the bench.
