Maybe I am just blind or too stupid to use the search function properly but it seems to me that a thread in the Game Room that dealt with the peculiar claim that the poker site “Full Tilt” is cheating, is simply gone.
Not closed, gone.
Did I wake up this morning in a parallel universe where little Winstons are dutifully erasing every record that isn’t fully compatible with the present party line or is it just a hick-up?
The OP of that thread made the exact same post to at least three other forums, so as far as I’m concerned it’s spam. I don’t think the SDMB has a party line with regard to FullTilt or any poker website. Now pipe down or I’ll go get the rats.
Just to clarify, the thread wasn’t about how to cheat on FullTilt Poker. Based on our policies about cheats on videogames, for example, I don’t think that would be an issue. The OP of the thread was saying FullTilt was cheating by using an unfair dealing engine.
Yeah. And the irony in this instance is that I realized my blunder just a little bit too late to erase it, wished I could have avoided its perpetuity, wished I wouldn’t have wished it.
Is this a play for money site? If so, how is it NOT an issue? Cheating at a video game only affects your own enjoyment of it. Cheating at poker, however, steals money from other people. Even if it’s play for fun, with no money involved, cheating would spoil the game for everyone else.
Well, there is this arcane and forgotten art called the “ignore” list-it’s lying, unused, in the corner over there, underneath the used kitty litter and last week’s campaign signs.
But that won’t make them cease to exist from everyone’s memory, or erase mentions of them from other posts. What do you think an “unperson” is?
