One word: avatars.
I just got fired from my job.

I know, right? For some apparent reason, showing avatars in every post is a default feature that is usually assumed to be enabled if you are posting on a message board.
Personally, I like how the Dope is very simple, clean, tidy, and easy on the eyes so you can actually focus on the discussions and don’t get all caught up in “reputation” or “thread ratings” or other pointless shit like that. This kind of thing really rubbed me the wrong way when it came to other message boards because it was actually kind of hard to focus on the discussions when there were so many graphic images and irrelevant icons.
Also, I don’t see why avatars is such a big issue here. Technically, they are enabled but they just aren’t shown with every post.
