Three Stooges Movie. Wow that looks terrible.

Have you really watched the Marx Brothers? Half of Grouchos shtick was humiliation of others.

I saw “Animal Crackers” at the Goodman in Chicago last year, and they unapologetically imitated the Marx Brothers. Joey Slotnick was Groucho, and he did quite well, IMO. Chico and Harpo (played by a woman!) had just the right manic energy and terrific chemistry. The whole thing was definitely more of a loving tribute than a ripoff.
I don’t know if it could work as a film, but as a stage play it was a riotous good time.

But all humor (except puns) is sadism in one form or another.

What do you mean? ESPECIALLY puns!

You were sooo close. Here’s how you really do it:

What do you mean? ESPECIALLY puns! Because puns are worst form of sadistic punishment there is.

I do.

As is in most circumstances in life, it all depends on whether you’re the poker or the pokee.

Tragedy is when I get a papercut. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die.

But except for his brothers, Groucho only insulted those above him on the social ladder. And he did it wittily. I watched the Stooges as a kid, and even liked them, but these two groups should not be in the same sentence.

As for the movie - from the ad I saw, I was expecting Jake and Elroy to show up.

*Ahem. Jake and Elwood.

Too true. Even just reading the above made me laugh.

I’m excited to see it. I might even go to the movie theater to see it. The last movie I saw in a theater was Avatar which pretty much convinced me to just wait untill movies come out on video so I haven’t been back since.

I think Will Sasso makes an excellent Curly and Sean Hayes an excellent Larry at least in the trailer.

Will Sasso is spot on as Curly. I will have to see more of the others to judge them, but Moe’s haircut seems off, like his head is too small.

WoopwoopwoopwoopWOOPwoop!

Ohhhh, a wise guy, eh?

Why I oughta…

Dunno why that would be surprising, it’s hardly unprecedented…

I can’t view Youtube here, but I am 100% certain I know what you’re linking to!

Probably would have been better if Sam Raimi had directed it.

Will Sasso as Curly?? **Of course **I have to see this. Will Sasso has the prettiest eyes, and he’s freakin’ hilarious to boot.

The Stooges are pretty polarizing, I guess. Almost nobody in my age group knew what they were when I was a kid, but I’ve always loved them because my dad watched them constantly. We watched them alllll the time growing up.

I kind of know who Sean Hayes is… Interesting that the movie that was supposed to feature Sean Penn, Benecio del Toro, and Jim Carrey didn’t come about, yes?
