Tim Tams suck

  1. Not that great, IMHO.

  2. Yuck.

  3. Blech.

Gaietys are better than Tim Tams, if they’re still around.

In a past job I did some filming at the Cookie Time factory, and I got to eat a Cookie Time straight out of their ovens… Quite possibly the world’s perfect food.

And now I want one. I found a shop near me in Melbourne that sold them - I might have to go past on the way home - after all, it’s not for me, it’s for the baby…

But your link isn’t an annoying YouTube video, so: bonus points!

Also, your link explains that the company that makes Tim Tams pushed for the “Tim Tam Slam” to be called the “Tim Tam Suck,” which is worth knowing.

Thanks for that link. I used it for my monthly safety presentation at work this morning!

But, do River Tams suck?

There was a considerable period of dismay and depression in my house when Cadbury moved the last of its NZ choc manufacturing to Oz. It’s just not the same. Probably good for me in the long run, but my wife had a long-term Caramello addiction. Sadness ensued. :frowning:

Have you got a news story on that, by any chance? I’ve heard a couple of people say that Cadbury have shut down their NZ chocolate production, but the only source I can find is Cadbury mentioning a massive overhaul of their Dunedin factory and saying they’re going to produce even more chocolate there, mostly for export.

Well now that is interesting. I wonder if the Oz choc is temporary.

Hmm… no mention of blocks. A few months back the packaging on all the blocks changed here (from foil and paper to a foil and card box - example pic), and this seems to coincide with all the blocks coming from Australia. They also changed the chocolate recipe (here’s one irate consumer’s take on it) by adding vegetable oil. bleh

Interestingly Cadbury may have listened, according to this press release on their site they’re going back to cocoa butter only.

Doggone. That explains a lot.
