For breakfast I am enjoying leftover homemade chicken noodle soup. I don’t like ‘breakfast’ foods and prefer to start off with lunch like meals, heavy on protein. Carbohydrates make me want to go back to sleep.
I live right above a supermarket. There’s another one 200m away but it’s always so full (it’s the cheapest one in the area) that I prefer to avoid it.
Ice cream is the all-purpose food - breakfast, lunch, dinner, late supper, snack, comfort food, on-the-go food. Yes, I lurves me some ice cream! 
Lunch break, and I need it. It’s been a busy and frustrating morning following a none-too-restful night. Here’s hoping when our new bed arrives on Saturday, all that will change.
I brought an orange with my lunch. I know there’s chocolate in the vending machine in the back. Decisions, decisions…

Although I’m not sure about happy, it has been a weird morning. Woke up to no internet, and a weird message from OAOASO, which surprised the hell out of me because - well because.
I’m kind of hungry, kind of sleepy, and irk is asking us to irk extra hours. So do I nap, eat, or make money?
It’s rainy out, and kind of chilly.
I just have a big ol’ blurf going on and have no idea what I should be doing.

metal mouse, I totally get you on the bringing ice cream home thing. Occasionally, I’ll pick up a six pack of no-sugar-added ice cream bars, but anything else is a one serving container.

I have an optical appointment this evening. Within a week or so, I should no longer have to tilt my head back to read my monitor through the “book” part of my glasses.
Been practicing the alto licorice stick today. Still need to get to practicing the ordinary clarinet.
(A bass clarinetist friend of mine said that no clarinets are ordinary, they’re all extraordinary. Except that the bass clarinet is super-extraordinary.)
My own bass clarinet is broken and will need to be repaired. It’s a pain to drag that enormous instrument around.

I thought the all-purpose food was pizza. It does all of the above plus it can be consumed hot, cold (direct from the fridge for breakfast or a quick snack), or even room-temp (leftovers from someone else’s lunch meeting). Ice cream can’t do all that temperature variants nearly as well*.
- One Thanksgiving my aunt forgot to put the ice cream away after serving dessert, an hour or so later when we got up from the table it was sitting in the container melted but still cold. Best. Milkshake. Ever (as it wasn’t diluted with milk)

I’m home and I’m fried. Supper will be leftover lasagna from the freezer because I just don’t feel like cooking. I did empty the dishwasher, so I’ve accomplished something at home. And I’m thinking of sleeping with Mel tonight. Last night, I tossed and turned too much, then woke at 4 again. Totally unsatisfactory!!
And it’s drizzly and cold and breezy and just plain icky out. C’mon spring!!

Various leftovers have been consumed. No leftover foodstuff in da fridge. This is a good thing.
