To live, die, and decompose in S. California (oh, and to be stalked, too)

These headlines, all from the first three pages of the Times’ B section today:

East L.A. rocked by shootings–Two shootings less than a mile from each other leave four men dead. Sheriff’s officials say the incidents are unrelated.”

Groom’s body found in car near reception–A Pico Rivera man, 22, is fatally shot hours after he married his longtime sweetheart.”

Body of badly decomposed infant found in Santa Ana–Police say they can’t determine if it was a boy or girl, or how long it has been dead. An autopsy is planned.” (Orange County is especially prolific in decomposed bodies just turning up out of nowhere.)

Freeway shootings not linked–Six vehicles are struck by BBs or pellets Monday, but CHP says that incident and two others are random.”

Alleged Cusack stalker is arrested–The woman is subject to a restraining order filed by the actor.” At least no one was killed.

Hop on over to the web site for up to the minute, run-of-the mill police shootings:

Deputy shoots man on 105 freeway–Shooting closes 105 Freeway in Hawthorne” This warrants attention only because the freeway got closed, which really pisses people off.

I’d give you more, but my coffee break is over.

And for the semi-good news:

Barking dog saves two in fire fatal to man” It’s hard to find a dog who can really bark, these days.

Keep it up. Maybe it will keep more people from moving here.

What no earthquake terror?
