Peeps!
Sugary artificially colored marshmallow goodness!
Peeps!
Left out on the counter for a week to get good and stale!
Peeps!
Don’t squash it.
What do I think about when I think of spring? Rep reviews for merit increases and 2nd quarter training sessions.
… What??? I’m a corporate manager, that’s the kind of stuff we think about.
I’m not sure how you’re gona paint it though.
Spring is sprung
The grass is green
They say the birds are on the wing
Now isn’t that absurd?
I thought the wings were on the bird!
My mother said that every spring when I was growing up. To me, any picture of spring needs to show newness. By the time everything is green . . .that’s summer.
Next to them you’ll find the Marsh Marigolds. You’ll go deaf or mad from the volume of the frogs by them too.
Baseball.
And if you paint a decent pic of a girl playing catch with your dad, I might just buy it from ya. Serious!
How about noisy kids playing in the wet street or brown yard in shorts and short sleeves. In the background are piles of dirty melting snow…That’s spring to me. (Or at least the first teases of spring)
It’s always nice to hear them having fun, scraping knees and making a general mess of things.
Wild Mustard. Sigh…
Freesias
Actuarial exams
The October Labour Day long weekend
Daffodils, jonquils and their kin.
Green grass and no mud.
Gonna be another month, I fear.
I always seem to forget you folks down under. You’ve got a long way to go before spring.
Weird hijack: Is there an Australian equivalent of Groundhog Day? If a joey peeks his head out of the pouch on August 2nd and sees his shadow, do you get 6 more weeks of winter?
Sorry about that. Random thoughts seem to bounce around in my head when the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet.
Hooray. Autumn is upon us. Daylight saving ends in a few weeks’ time and we can get into winter, which I like.
No
How about a kid excitedly brushing off something he had to put away for the winter? The rollerblades, the baseball mitt, etc.
Spring also makes me think about rain. And about re-roofing…
