He’s in hospital at the moment, having surgery. They’re putting a metal plate into his eye socket. Hopefully, they surgery’s finished by now, and he’s in recovery, sleeping off the anaesthetic…
The fuckwit’s been arrested and charged. He appears in court on Monday.

I don’t know about expelled. Presumbably he has. Well, I don’t think that the school can really justify keeping him there.
I’ll have to ask him about American goodies though - I can’t remember off the top of my head what he likes/dislikes!
Dear Angua. I’m sorry to hear about what happened, and my best wishes go out to your brother, your family, and to you for feeling guilty (Which you shouldn’t)
When I was 12, in school, in Liverpool, (Collegiate primary boys school to be exact) I was assaulted by a group of kids, who generally did not like my direct way of speaking, and inability to not voice my opinion, and so therefore beat the crap out of me.
I had a badly broken jaw, severe dental problems as a result of this, cracked ribs, a very severe concussion, a fractured wrist, and lots of contusions and abrasions. (they diudn’t just beat me they stomped on me to make sure as well. - Nothing like thorough people eh?)
I spent months in hospital, and when I got out, I was VERY upset, and of course I wanted revenge.
Why?
The kids involved (5 of them) had all been temporarily suspended, and when that suspension was lifted one of them got a two week detention for being the ring leader the rest got slaps on the wrist. I was not happy with this, neither was my father who told me to go mete out justice any way I chose.
I returned to school after 4 months of schooling, and a lot of scheming and lying awake at night in pain, and anger.
I caught two of them, and I returned the favour. I was then suspended, and expelled from school. The police visited me to ask me why I had done what I did. Duh! Silly question. As they were unable to prosecute the boys before in my case due to their age, they now found it impossible to try to do the same to me.
I don’t really advocate revenge to anyone as it’s costly and can backfire, I just state what happened in my case. I felt I had no recourse as neither the school or anyone else felt strongly enough about what had happened to me to punish these kids.

Nothing too extreme, just recall Hammurabi.[/li][li]Learning where they are may reveal new truths. Suppose one of them is running for local office. Revealing that they used to be “vicious juvenile delinquents”, who “belonged to a violent gang” and “abused innocent children”, may alter things on Election Day.[/li][li]In the same theme, a simple examoination may reveal Adultery (call his wife & the Vicar), Child or spousal abuse (politically incorrect crimes like these get prosecuted), or other offenses. And you get to better the community.[/li][/ul]

He’s feeling a lot better now - he’s actually on the boards as well :eek: 
He’s recovering, but we still don’t know the full extent of any permanent damage. He’s back to school now as well, but its tiring for him.
As for the little swine who did this to him, he appeared in court charged with ABH on Monday, and pleaded guilty. Don’t know what’s going to happen. He’s also left school, apparantly “by mutual consent”, which probably means that the school told him to get out or they throw him out.
I really ought to let him post and tell you all how he is.

there’s no excuse for what fuckwit did, there was no reason that your brother and your family had to go thru this horrible experience.
i’m glad to hear you’re sticking to your guns, and not dropping charges, luckilly, if you get good enough Karma (and there’s plenty of it on this board), fuckwit may end up in a small cell with a man named Bubba (or whatever the British version of that is)

if MacTech was on the bench, my judgement would be attempted murder, 3rd degree, and the minimum sentence i’d impose would be life inprisonment with no chance of parole, in the nastiest section of prison General Population…
and thats if fuckwit or his parents didn’t get me angry, every objection or complaint from mommy fuckwit would add time to his sentence, if she was enough of a prat, she’d be sent to prison as well for aiding and abetting…

Yes, we do want an update! I have been thinking a lot about this horrifying incident, wondering if your brother was OK, and if any justice was going to come out of this.

Insaney is doing fine. The injury’s not fully healed, and doctors think that there’ll always be some residual damage associated with it, but only time will tell. He’s back at school, and studying hard for his A-Levels, trying to catch up with what he’s missed, hence the reason he’s not on the boards at all at the moment. But he is OK.
And as for the fuckwit. Well, he went to court, was tried as a juvenille, and was charged with grevious bodily harm, which IIRC, is the most serious form of assault. The sentence: six months community service, having to pay £500 in damages, and ordered to go to anger management classes. Hopefully, this might help him, and he won’t turn out to be a totally fucked up member of society.

“Indian male attacked by white male at well-known unnamed private secondary school; recieves slap on wrist!” is all too common… same thing happened to me at Blank College in Worcestershire*, except I didn’t end up with a broken orbital, just a broken nose, and I also got suspended for having the temerity to defend myself (after having not done so during the first four punches).
I can appreciate what he’s going through. I’m assuming you or the parents have been able to collect at least a portion of the schoolwork he’s missing so he can work on it in the hospital? If not, you ought to try, because if he’s anything like I was he’ll be worried sick about how much he’s missing.
I do hope the bastard gets what’s coming to him, in the form of a all-expenses paid visit to Cell Block E.
