No he doesn’t. The idiot was expelled fairly soon after the incident. Apparantly, he’d been making more trouble, and teachers had complained, and so he was swiftly expelled from school
I guess that this is the best possible outcome that was workable in the real world. I’m especially glad that the scumbag has to go to anger management classes, I hope they do him some good. And I’m relieved that your brother doesn’t have to go to school with him any longer.
It sucks that your brother might have some permanent damage, though. I’m really sorry to hear that, I was hoping that he’d beat the odds and have a full recovery.

I’m betting, Angua, that your brother will have overcome whatever residual damage the attack caused, and gone on to a stellar academic performance; he’ll be well on his way to achieving a fulfilling, honors-laden career in his chosen field, surrounded by friends who admire his character as much as his intelligence.
The attacker? A charitable wish: he learns from this, comprehends the ugly wrongness of what he did, and lives down the shame of his attack, though the guilt of it never leaves him. More likely: he goes on lashing out, and being bailed out by mother, until her best efforts can’t save him from prison. She may even find him turning on her.
